Misinformation? wtf are you referring to. Usually if a plane is covered in mud something worse has happened, such as running off of the runway or even worse landing on an unplanned manner. I’m am sure landing in the backward dirt landing strips of AK can contribute to the same contamination but...

Is your maverick a eco with 4k tow? I think the brakes are different to do towing

If you bend the metal to fit the profile, the bolts won’t line up with the cover holes. I tried a little but didn’t want to mess them up and the mfg co say I damaged them. I paid $400 and they should fit perfectly. The lock washer should keep them tight and they did but vibration made them slip...
