I'm in northern IL... Roscoe... Off 90 on the Stateline.. Mine they keep telling me is sitting on East side of st Luis. For the last ten days. It's only 300 miles from its final railyard
I have always bought my vehicles threw private sales and just paid cash... I'm 44 and have never bought something from a dealership... But I figured with that crazy high used vehicle prices the last 2 years... If I'm going to pay To much for something used that is going to loose value cuz...
U can get the vin a couple of weeks before it will be placed in the timeline of production
(kinda think of it as ur scheduled to be scheduled for a production date) ...
Once u get to see the window sticker I believe that is when the plant decides on a day for ur truck to start production about...
What sucks is u are paying the shipping but I can't get anyone to give me the rail car # (customer support or the dealership) so u can track it on the rails I've tried like 6 times now
Shipped on 1/13 and as of 1/24 they say it is in East St Luis.. And that is the latest update they can see...
I work in southern WI and I unload a lot of shipping containers that carry giant rolls of paper ( think a paper towel roll but 9' tall by 5' in diameter and weight 7500-8000lbs per roll) I talk to some of the shipping container drivers... I see a few of them a couple of times a week... I know...
Mine shipped 1/14 and is less then 300 miles from Chicago it's final rail destination as of yesterday.. I assuming it could be at my dealership by the end of the week or still take a month if it sits at the final rail yard.. Or longer... Only the shadow knows.... Lol
I think most of the time when they make that stop IN AZ. they may sit for a couple of days cuz it is a junction that the railcars make a transfer from one rail carrier to another
I've called 4 times to since 1/17 for trying to get the rail car # and they all say the same
" it's eather they can't get the rail car# or they aren't aloud to give it out anymore... They are always happy to look it up and tell u the location. / last update to current location
I'm just curious if their is another way to get it? Customer support is telling me that they can't give out the rail car# anymore, and to speak to ur dealership/salesman. That they have more resources at their disposal to get the rail car# for tracking... Sales man just says that the only...
Wouldn't it just be the same as going off a curb I can't imagine it would cuz any damage unless u did it at a high speed.. Or ur chulk was higher the the trucks ground clearance
I'd get urself a couple of ratchet straps and keep them under ur seat or possibly the little cubby in the bed... They are always nice to have a least a pair of them
Mine didn't show up for my eco till right before it was Finnished with production or right after it was shipped... I checked with support when it was in the line up for production (after I got the window sticker) and it wasn't issued yet then I didn't call again till 3 days after I got the it's...
My dealership salesman told me 550 for the sprayeding bed liner and 170 for the front driver and passenger windows tinted I asked them to have done once the truck gets in
If I remember correctly ford did say the only mav's that would have rate protection are delivered 22's and rollover is considered a new order and any protection is not valid for a 23 reorder they would give reorder the private offer for the price increase... But no rate lock in... If u get that...
Ya I called customer support on 1/17 after I got the ford email saying it was been shipped out of the plant on 1/17.
The support agent said that rail yard in Arizona is a switching point for some of the rail companies... And it can sit for 3-4 days on average during the transfer from one rail...
I want to wait to see what the dealership offers said they go threw a few diffent places to see what's the best apr they can get for u but most likely I'll prob just go threw my credit union just for ease of making the payments unless the sales man can find a loan that will beat my CU..
