I added the above. I had to save and then switch browsers, come back and edit the post. Upload wasn't behaving well with brave browser.
This was what I used. Tons of similar options out there.

My tonneau seals out about 95%, I need to add some additional sealing to it.
The tail gate used to allow a good amount of water and dust in. I think a bit of a vacuum forms there when driving. I bought some 3M silicone flat weather stripping on Amazon for like $9. I didn't want to fork over...
Just did my second change at 9000.
First was 3000, early to potentially flush any break in contaminates.
Second was supposed to be at 8000 but it was really damn cold here in PA for the past month and I my weekends were busy.
Both with oem filter and super tech full synth.
Going to stick to...
How many of you are like me and when you see a thread like this your brain spins off in an inappropriate tirade channeling Deadpool?
How about "bleep bleep" ... Nope
What about "big blue bleep" .... Nope
And "bleep-maker" .... Damnit
Think friendly think nice, "bleep bleep bleep bleep" ... I...
I feel great!
I'm actually dead pan in the middle of those two groups.
You totally asked for that and it's team building to snap a towel here and there!
Sounds like with some due diligence and common fluid change sense (not OEM fluid change sense) that 150k isn't unreasonable from these engine for normal duty.
I'm a good DIY and preventative guy, brakes , fluids, small problems. I'm not a car/engine person per say, previous owner of a Honda V6...
I feel like the forum has been slow today. Probably because everyone wants to talk about the tariffs, but doesn't know if they should. Or ... Can't do so without spiraling off topic into just politics and getting thread locked.
I think as it relates to maverick only, it's a valid discussion...
I usually think decals are unnecessary bling, but I have been thinking about doing white vinyl on the roof of my blue Mav as a summer heat experiment.
I think similar stripes to what you have on the hood may help make the white roof look more planned.
👍
I had to skim that thing, WTF, just kidding ... maybe 😉.
Seems like you should post that piece of catharsis to google blogger and link out to it from here. See what kind of ad-cents you get on the peice.
I used to think this was horse poop too. That's what break lights are for. However, driving is a new multitasking sport and people are glancing away often and only using half their brain while doing other stuff.
So, it's not a bad bit of CYA.
Distracted for sure, the cars themselves are distracting. The stuff on our info-tainment screens is distracting, buttons without tactile feel require eyes to divert from the road.
Not to mention phones, people can't walk without being distracted.

I do agree with him/her though. I scrolled up the thread and saw OG was 2023 and then the resurrecting post wasn't even on topic it was a reply to a post about AI 😂.
I guess since this is now a nonsense thread I'll take a moment to post about it and other nonsense topics I've seen lately...

So, there are a lot of posts in this thread that all seem different ways of saying....
People are remembering that new vehicles are one the worst depreciating assets you can own? 🤷♂️
Should we retitle the thread, "Why did it take so long?"
I'm not either, I just play one on the internet 🤣.
I do enjoy the psychology of how we are all manipulated by marketing, sales, labels companies create and some we create ourselves. Sometimes I enjoy railing against those memes which sales prey on.
Sorry, I tried to edit some of my post to say...
You're missing your own point.
You don't understand the excitement because you're "real truck" guy is negating the guy who bought the maverick. Generally when people put the world "real" in front of anything it means it's linked to ego and status classification for them. "Real trucks" have...
I can't stand what happened to trucks over the past 10 years to so. The luxury end of the market is eating into the utilitarian roots and low end of the market. Less options for us value hunters and work/sport people on lots.
However, I can't argue with the manufacturers tactics. They seem to...
