  1. 9/14/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING!]

For all of you that scheduled congrats! For me and I'm sure many others...
  2. When do scheduling emails go out, Thursdays?

    Anyone scheduled yet today?
  3. New F-150 Tailgate

Seems like a 1/2 solve to something that isn't really a problem. I'd use the back seat or back seat under storage for anything I'd use that baby door for. I wouldn't pay for the option and I'd be pissed if it became standard because you pay for that in higher base price.
  4. Maverick Scheduling This Week (9/14/23) for Production Weeks 11/06-11/27

Interesting because the guy who does orders at my dealership e-mailed me when mine was entered with my order attached and explicitly said "you should get a confirmation E-mail from ford too, let me know if you dont". I'll let you make your own assumptions about your dealer with this knowledge 🙂.
  5. Maverick hauling round hay bales

I know it doesn't weigh that much, but visually it looks like you're attempting to do wheelies! 👍 Center just behind the rear axle and that round shape as if it's gonna be a wheel itself when it touches.
  6. Maverick Scheduling This Week (9/14/23) for Production Weeks 11/06-11/27

I've never been a petson to give in to market demand or markup. Crap that I need a new vehicle right now. Oddly a new Maverick, for my needs, is a most cost effe to e choice than used vehicle. ^ but the above quote, thats almost enough to prove how times have changed. Might just bite the...
  7. Tonneau/MPGs

Bro, I totally read the same article proving it out. It was this one right?
  8. Tonneau/MPGs

I watched both back in the day, great show. Think we can get them out of retirement to do a special and bust all the myths about Mavericks and Delivery. - If your order previews before Thursday you'll get scheduled in that round. - Does ditch the hitch really work? - true mpg for all drive...
  9. Interesting Vehicle

No surprises here, hummer after the H1 has just been a novelty for those who want to throw $$$ at something widely unpractical. Which for some is a hobby that makes them feel better about themselves. Glass half full, less people in the maverick queues!
  10. Maverick Scheduling This Week (9/14/23) for Production Weeks 11/06-11/27

They meaning the dealer? I'd assume they can just enter their E-mail instead of yours as the customer order is placed. Will be nice when ford goes direct to customer. Seems like this will be inevitable with all current competition. Dealers will adapt to be full service centers & showrooms or...
  11. Maverick Scheduling This Week (9/14/23) for Production Weeks 11/06-11/27

My dealer looked at my preview order last time I called then sent it to me. First line had this... Preview Order xyz - xyz - SuperCrew FWD - XL : Order Summary Time of Preview: 08/24/2023 14:47:01 Receipt: 7/18/2023 Looks like I was previewed right before last scheduling bit did not receive a...
  12. My baby has some character now :(

Ehh, leave it so the next one doesn't hurt as much! Or the next time you're looking to rub one out, open up the tailgate so you can get at it from the inside. Fold a towel over the round part of a decent sized wrench. Then rub it gently from in the inside to bring the ding back mostly flat. I...
  13. Protecting Your Car from Being Stolen-Theft

Seems like the crowd for Mavericks is generally older and more sensible anyway, so I'm not too worried. As much as it's "in demand" I don't think it's on the to steal list because it's not high price or flashy as others. So your odds probably the same as your previous car, your just feeling...
  14. Protecting Your Car from Being Stolen-Theft

Lookup the odds of having a modern car stolen even if it's coveted (likely not what they want overseas though, their demand != our demand). I'm guessing that the odds are low with immobilizers, cameras, etc and tracking built into the newer cars. I'd guess is smart thieves con/steal your keys or...
  15. Skinny and tall - why not?

Weight is a factor I've not paid too much attention to in the past as in the grand scheme of things it's far less than weight of a single passenger etc. But not sure how forces come into play when spinning at 1000rpm. As for the aesthetics, I'm proudly a contrarian. I see all the $$$, time, and...
  16. Skinny and tall - why not?

Absolutely, I mentioned torque effects in my post and this is what I was thinking. Though, I have a hunch, if real world tests were done that at highways speeds the additional circumference and distance traveled per RPM may equate to higher mileage evening it out 🤷‍♂️. That said, I'm going...
  17. Skinny and tall - why not?

Not off at all. In fact for the last 20 years I've been wondering why the industry has leaned so wide for common cars. Seems like they gave up a lot of all weather performance searching for better handling in ideal conditions. My SUV with relatively wide tires handles much poorer over all than...
  18. Universal grumbling or?

There is also the factor of any newly designed vehicle. Maverick especially if you have one a year or two old is in it's infancy. New models across all manufacturers tend to have a higher rate of problems and recalls as the quirks are worked out for that model. The more unique the vehicle, the...
