Paid 30,525 for my 25. Carvana offered 28600 with 7800 miles. If I found a private buyer, I would be close to purchase price, I think..... Love it and my Mav!!!
No idea.......... I can't even come up with a smart-ass answer, which I have been told is rare for me. Is the blue stuff some kind of adhesive/tape?
May not have anything to do with truck...... kids, wife, dog, friend or enemy could have put it there.................
Hmm., it appears you drive faster with the wife in the car, so you have to spend less time in the vehicle listening to a possible critique of your driving?? Or you have just been married for more than ten years!!!;):teehee:
Glen,
My comment ( I was not trying to be a smart aleck) was based on the road in the picture! I understand on an interstate that it is best to 'GO WITH THE FLOW'.
In your photo I note a wildlife fence. The picture is a bit blurry, but I am not sure there is one on both sides. On the road...
I taught defensive driving for many years. A cardinal rule: Do ANYTHING to avoid a head-on crash. If push comes to shove, take a glancing blow with your vehicle. The driver of the Buick was at "fault". Seems like a very wide roadway if you include the shoulders. It is possible the Buick just...
For many time may be a concern. It takes 22 minutes to drive 20 miles at 55 mph. Only 16 minutes to drive 20 miles at 75 mph. SIX minutes difference. On a short trip you might slow down and smell the roses and have less stress???????
On a long trip I will be right there with you at speed...
Obviously the OP lives in an area where driving 55 is an option. As I recall in the early 70's or thereabouts the speed limit was lowered to 55 even on interstates to conserve fuel. Not sure of the date.
I might have to smoke crack, Chief, to live in an area where other drivers are...
Whatever you put on with tape better be aerodynamic. Wind resistance may be more than tape can hold, and you end up with a broken windshield. If the tape holds, the thin aluminum hood could very well bend. Just my 6 cents worth...
If someone had told me this thread could go on this long, I probably would have died laughing!! Actually, I have gotten quite a few laughs from it though...................;) Just make sure the rod is stiff when needed!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are obviously right-legged, hence easier getting in on the driver side.;) All joking aside, I do think we get accustomed to getting in one side versus the other.
My wife's 23 Camry requires me to crunch over to keep from hitting my head on the roof. It is just awful as are the ergonomics...
Hard to tell from the cam video but it looks like you had little time from seeing the moose until you hit it. Did you have time to even tap the brakes? Average reaction time to hit brakes is 3/4 of a second although road conditions may have dictated no harsh braking. Were your lights on...
What evidence do you have that this happens more to Mavericks than almost any other newer vehicle?? I think this is a little like the fellow with both legs amputated because he got run over by a beer truck when passed out in the middle of the highway. He sued the beer company, and the Judge...
So, it was indeed 5 o'clock somewhere and looking at the time it was indeed North Carolina. Actually, your response after a couple of brewsies is not too bad. I am a little bit worried about those 619 moles you divided by 14 gallons.o_O If you lit up the gas to get them divided up, it may be...
It may be the angle of the dangle...... Angle and height of windshield plus aerodynamics. It is getting hit at a different angle and possibly more often. I do not think it is necessarily just the material quantity/quality. My 6 cents worth!! (non-existent inflation )!!!
Not sure I understand your comment. That has happened before!!!😃Do you think the 619.3 shown on the display does not include electric miles; it says TOTAL miles.........?? If I add them then the OP is over 912 miles for the tank. 54.88 mpg which is well over his display and seems hard to do...
Yes, it should be 619 miles and 16.63 gallons for 37.22 mpg. Not sure why your mileage on display is so far off............................ I believe if I got 16.6 gallons in my Maverick which is a LOT plus my mileage was so far off, I would question the accuracy of the pump!!!
So how does 631.6 miles divided by 16.6 gallons equal 47.7 mpg like on your display. My math says 38.06 mpg......................... That is a lot for the display to be off...............
I saw your avatar and presumed the TTown meant Tiny Town. I also have lived in GA now about 50 years and can't say I have heard of Yatesville. Being a curious type, I googled Yatesville; population 394 does indeed qualify it as a Tiny Town!!!!!:wink:o_O It makes Lincolnton, GA look like...
