Nice find OP, thanks for sharing. Did you have to modify the clamp at all, or just reduce the height of the uprights? Any thoughts on how this might/might not play with a tonneau cover?
Also, the Lowes page showed an alternate rack; different brand but very similar, same price, and in black.
I took a closer look at my new AB file and found a couple of additional lines of Telematics ECU config. There were no corresponding lines in the original AB; these are the new ones:
As before I don't know what this indicates but just want the info to be complete.
Previously I had compared the as-built data for my truck against the table in the OP, thinking I might be able to figure out which module might have been missing and holding up my build. I was not able to see anything at the time.
Today I got notified that my truck has finally been built (🔥!)...
Yeah, there is a difference between wanting to be handheld & spoon-fed, and wanting reasonable info about an order for a big-ticket item. I'm not looking to make plans cast in stone but it is nice to have an idea of timing. For example, suppose I want to hand down my current car, or decide if we...
I believe the algorithm adapts slightly to window opening size, to allow for small deformations, etc in the seal over time. There is a learn procedure where you drive the window open until it reaches end of travel, and then drive it closed to the upper eot. Algo zeros the window edge position at...
True, dealer can't control manufacturing time, assuming dealer has properly taken the order (ROVP and all that). But at this point the order is now stuck between order-taker and supplier, and now the customer suffers due to the messed-up customer-dealer-OEM zone known as the Bermuda Triangle...
True, nothing is guaranteed or 100% committed until the final deal is done. Don't need help "planning my life" (never worked anyway) but it is 100% reasonable for a buyer to expect decent and transparent updates on an order for a relatively expensive product.
No limit switches are present; Ford one-touch up/down controls use a combination of hall effect sensors for position/limit sensing, and motor current for object detection.
edit/clarification:
My comment above relates primarily to one-touch up controls; one-touch down only might rely solely on...
Couple things that may help in reading your as-built data: one, PCM data typically shows up under BCE. Example here.
Also, there are some useful tools and info here. In particular, the As-Built Explorer can read/compare AB data and make the data slightly more readable.
My truck has been stuck in production for a long time (details in signature). I'm curious about which modules might be holding up my truck so I compared my as-built data against the list of expected modules from the spreadsheet. Most of the expected modules do appear in the as-built data.
Some...
Is that table available in a spreadsheet or text format? I don't have my truck yet but I do have the as-built data. I'm interested in seeing if I can tell what module might be missing from my truck and causing the production delay. I could mark up the table with the modules and their part...
There is no way to make sense of the claim that a hybrid Maverick has only 4 "chips." As others have stated, any modern vehicle, whether hybrid or conventional, has dozens if not hundreds of microprocessors, power drivers, network transceivers, switching devices, etc.
In a previous post I...
The hybrid version has a few modules above and beyond the traditional powertrain: Battery controller (BECM - might have 2 micros); Trans/inverter controls (SOBDMC); and a DC/DC, for sure. Regen brake and HV AC as well, but these might not be incremental if they replace a similar non-hybrid ECU...
I'm certain they mean "module" when they say "chip." There is no way that a tier-one module supplier is sending modules to Ford minus some particular "chip." I don't know of any high-volume automotive ECUs in the past dozen years or so that had field-installed micros - everything has been flash...
The IPC probably is only the human interface of the feature, with the actual logic running in the PCM. Does Forscan show any similar settings under PCM?
