Yeah was going to mention that - if you have had your car idling for long periods of time that factors into mpg. I’ve never had a car with auto stop start so maybe this is normal, but it doesn’t turn off everything I come to a complete stop. I think it only works when the engine is fully warmed up

I’m no audio expert but I think the xlt speakers are much better than the ones in a 16 Forester.

I’m fine with my XLT seats, but wonder if they do a leather wheel wrap. Not a fan of the firm material in the not lux steering wheel. I’ve looked into diy wraps but would prefer a more professional look if it’s not too expensive.

I thought about premium line x but if I have a cover on it 90%+ of the time. Don’t think I really need the UV protection

Used my ford pass points to buy these from fairwayfordparts.net 20% off and arrived in one day. Seem like they will work fine for me and like that they saw Maverick on them. Would have considered weather tech but I don’t believe they have rear mats yet

Put a coat of wax on my truck today. Made me realize how much black plastic there is on the Maverick. Never had a car with so much plastic so haven’t really used any plastic protectant products before. Anybody have suggestions of a product that keeps the black plastic looking nice and protected?

Half way through first tank 100% city driving with 40 mile light tow. 22 mpg. Still haven’t had to get on the expressway. Will update with manually calculating mpg at next fill up.

I don’t see the mats listed on the Ford accessories website. Debating using my points on those or the service. 11k points for an oil change and tire rotation seems like a better deal than the half cent you get per point on accessories

You are right, it does seem like there are lots of varying opinions. I wasn’t able find much specifically related to towing during the break in period. I’m not a mechanical expert so didn’t know if there were any different risks to consider towing in the first 1k miles vs driving 85mph on cruise...

Owners manual says not to tow before 1,000 miles. I have the 4k package and have an under 2k short distance tow to do this weekend and now second guessing if I should do it. I’ve never towed with a new truck so curious to hear opinions on how damaging it could be or if it’s more a guideline to...

Here’s my FX4 4K that I was able to buy because a customer decided not to take their retail order. I had a cactus gray hybrid on order, but I am really liking the Alto Blue. It’s amazing how it can look black or blue depending on the lighting.

Since you already have a 4wd car I would say wait. I ended up going with a dealer stock xlt awd that was about $4k-$5k more than my hybrid order. I don’t regret it because the 4k tow and fx4 will be useful, but missing out of the upfront savings and gas savings over time will sting a little.

hard to say yet with the maverick but the bak revolver x4s was compatible with over bed racks on the gladiator even though it wasn’t listed as a feature.

I am also looking at the x4s. Real truck site shows it arrives October 21-26th. But when I asked them they said they have no idea when they will have it in stock
