If you are talking about the rubber inserts that go inside the door, Mabett were a perfect fit.

Mine does the same thing when I plug in. When I use wireless Carplay it works perfectly. I now charge through the "cigarette lighter" and use Carplay strictly wireless.

My experience is every time I go cheap, I regret it. I had a cheap cover on a Tacoma. Got rid of it and got a Bakflip. I have had 3 Bakflips now. Save up for a name brand cover.

You know what? I don't think it is trim or adhesive. I think it's some sort of wiring protruding. I tried pushing it down but there is definitely something behind it.

I had mine done. Absolutely no scuffs or scratches. They pop the vent off, put some clips on the bulb, put the vent back on and you’re done
