That's a lot of great info, thanks! As for the lane keeping button:
I test drove a '24 before I ordered and worked with the lane alert/keeping button on the end of the left-side control arm to toggle it on and off. My '25 physically does not have that button nor does it have the lane-keeping...
Right at the start of the build, Ford held everything at the factory for 6 weeks to do extra quality checks. Then it too time to move out all the vehicles they built during that six weeks. How long it takes once they ship depends on how far from the factory you are.
If I understand what you are asking about, that's the volume knob. In Job 2 and later with the tow package, it may be replaced by the fancy trailer thing-a-ma-bob. Or maybe they put it where the start button is. You'd need to ask someone with a Job 2 or later with tow package.
It's doesn't...
Still annoying to have to do that every single morning.
I haven't gotten used to that, admittedly, but then releasing the parking break doesn't bother me because I'm used to having to do it.
Does anyone know if this is only happening with the 2025 Mavericks or is it also happening with the 2025 Escapes and other Sync 4 platforms?
Also, so much for quality holds and having your vehicle selected for extra testing. I don't know what extra they testing they did, but it obviously...
By auto hold, I mean the thing that stop the car from creeping forward if you take your foot off the brake. And, yes, there is a button to toggle it, but in terms of where I want it 90+% of the time, that setting is not-on. I tried toggling it on and off at need, but it always seemed to be in...

I’m posting this as an initial review of my new 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid. I’m coming from a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek that didn’t even have a video screen let alone any of the other tech found on my new truck. I didn’t post immediately, because I wanted to give at...
I followed the Larist push button start procedure using one if the keys listed by the OP. On the push and hold, no chirp, no programming. Has Ford changed the procedure on the 2025’s or could I have a bum key blank?
The procedure is pretty straightforward: put key #1 in the depression (face...
Evan,
I'm curious about that, because I briefly toyed with trying to add a cubby to fill the void. If I remember correctly, I scrapped the idea because there is a 400W inverter and a light opposite the storage cubby in my truck. Did you have to remove that electrical stuff to add the second...
If you get under the truck on the rear driver's side, you can see the underbody behind the left rear wheel is very open up into the inside of the bed. Spray coming off the left rear wheel will get thrown up into the inside of the bed and onto the back of the left rear taillight. That presents...
Sounds like what the rest of us have been experiencing. I note you have an Ecoboost, is that the truck you are talking about? I only ask because there has been a suggestion that this problem happens to people with hybrids. The good news is that is seems to come back again after a few days...
Tom,
I don't understand why my truck being a hybrid matters - I don't think the service advisor was suggesting there was a problem with the hybrid battery or anything in the hybrid system. I think he meant the regular car battery.
I could easily believe the is a problem somewhere on the CAN...
Oh, I agree; one does not expect vehicle problems in the first week of ownership (and certainly not without a good reason) - It puts a bad taste in your mouth about the brand and takes a while to regain your trust, assuming nothing goes sideways. It's all the more galling because, in addition to...
If it's any consolation, mine came back after a couple days, went away again, and about a day and a half. Dealer says my vehicle is throwing a "U-Code" so it must be a battery issue. I'm skeptical, but it has an appointment Feb 27th ("first available") to find out.
My new truck (under 500 miles) is having an issue that is about to send it back to the dealership's service department. (But not until Feb. 27th apparently. :()
The issue began a couple days after I brought it home - I wasn't able to remote start, lock, unlock, or locate the vehicle. The...
Would this potentially fix it permanently going forward because doing this every few days would suck?
Subsequent to my post above, I discovered that my dashboard in my Ford account was saying that a sevice action was required… at 269 miles. It doesn’t tell you what the action is or why it...
I too am having issues with Ford Pass and it not connecting to the vehicle. As I type, in fact, the app says I’m parked 15 miles away and still have a full tank of gas. There have been a couple threads about Ford Pass problems lately. I have:
rebooted my phone several times;
uninstalled and...
