Haven't gotten confirmation, but wanted to ask a question. Bought a package, selected at the $50 deductible. Confirmation screen (not email) tagged it at $100 deductible purchased. Is there a bug somewhere in the website? I'll update once I get a confirmation email.
Another comment. Best way I've found to pop the maker lights:
1. Painters tape under back edge (tucked into crease), couple pieces.
2. Electrical tape, 1 piece over the top of painters tape.
3. 2.5-3.5" pocket knife blade. Actually had MUCH easier time getting purchase enough to "push" the maker...
Hey, wanted to update this for you guys/gals. Rewired into the driver-side marker light. Replaced the LEDs as the "these might work" LEDs started flaking out randomly on me. Very happy to do real auto-grade heat-splices into those lines. Fit was really perfect and very happy with it.
All that...
Yeah, I'm losing even more. Went from ~45 to ~39. Longer drives, faster speeds, much less assist from Hybrid when trying to stay warm inside. Oh well, I'm thinking nearly 40mpg is so far beyond what my DD was getting before. Very happy indeed!
Good video. I like the term "rocking" as a description. When reversing, it will rotate forward toward grill. And moving forward, rotates back toward cabin. Really pretty cool (as long as the tubing and wiring connected to fixed pts don't wear down too rapidly).
I was hoping that was the case. Make sense for a laterally mounted engine mating to the complex transmission on this thing (in my head). But definitely caught me off guard. It is a bit unsettling to see! But also...pretty damn cool from an engineering standpoint!
Yeah, either something is wrong with your Mav...or you drive like Andretti. Definitely turn on the brake coach and set the MyView to the "coach" or whatever that screen is (really needs a refresh, it's horrible). Much more lift and coast to a stop. Much more slow acceleration whenever...
That's about spot on for me (driving distances, habits, octane). Same, but I've observed a pretty signficant drop in MPG with the coming on of the cold. Went from just above 45.5 for first 1800 miles, to closer to 43.5 in these last ~400 miles as the weather turned COLD. I'm guessing (and...
I new one for me, but I happened to be showing the Maverick off. Had the hood up and open when brother was just putting the truck in R and rolling a bit, stopping, D, rolling a bit. The entire Atkinson Cycle + ECVT block rotates with starting and stopping (rocking?) within the engine bay...
As far as Mods go we could do at a meetup...HELL YEAH. All you need is:
1. Pry tool + Painters tape
2. Heat gun
3. Wire splices for 18-22 ga wire
4. Wire strippers/snips
5. (optional) ISO wipes to really clean the area the LED strip is going to adhease to.
6. About 30 minutes total in time...
Well, I pulled and installed the LED marker lights (easy peasy). Decided to install the hood start-scan lights wiring into the DRL (yellow) headlight point. Love/hate it. Problem is that those lights, they come on during unlock/door open. They go OFF when you turn the key to start engine (on...
Anyone else do the under-hood LED lights? My next project on Cody. Will have to check back in with how it goes. Was thinking would be a neat / fun project get-together idea. Buy the stuff, then do the mod on all the Indy Mavericks at a meet-up. Thoughts?
Ha! Awesome setup. Also missed it, as kiddo made State Marching Band Finals. That meant we were downtown most of day and all night. Looking forward to hitting up next one!
Had a funny one the other night; not something I've seen/heard on here as of yet. Listening to podcast via Spotify. Playing with switching the main screen Off (button on far right under screen). Off went the screen, podcast keeps playing. Dozed off waiting for dad-taxi pickup. Roused myself and...
Anyone have reason to remove or modify the center console at all. Or have details about what, if any, wiring is in the hollow area behind the interior available space under the armrest, and the back USB+110vac plug?
Man, looks just like mine (that I also picked up last week). I've been hyper-vigilant fearing exactly your case. So sorry it happened to you. I really like the tip for the dashcam, hadn't really given it much thought previously. With the amount of non-insured drivers...yeah, I may be looking...
