Think I found the reason for the drooping tailgate. Ford wanted to advertise a loading height of less than 30". See the attached 'FlexBed' sheet. This makes the rear edge of tailgate is about 1.25 lower than the bed. Now 'if only' they would offer (at a reasonable price) optional cables...
My purchase/install of the Ford āREV Industriesā REV HARD ROLL UP TONNEAU BED COVER.
I'm attaching a PDF file with the details of my impressions and install details. Sending in PDF format because I wrote it up in a page layout app, and it is much easier to do it this way when you have a number...
Thanks for the response, but by the time I read this, had completed the job.

Thanks - Have LED light assembly, see note above on page 314.
Watched a UT clip on installing on a F150, complete tail light assembly came out, looks like the same one as used on the Mav with LED tail lights. Removed two screws just like on the Mav, and pulled out. Has three alignment pins...
Installing Swing-Out Tool/Storage Box {right side}. Didn't think this would entail asking for help, BUT!
Step 5. instructs you to remove the tail light.

Heard about the 'hood flutter/shake/bounce', but had not experienced the problem/issue in the 4500 miles I've driven my Maverick.
Yesterday was running late for an appointment and needed to make some time. Was on an interstate highway, with light traffic, on a clear, sunny day, some wind...
Rather than helping, this individual is confusing the message. If it doesnāt work, you will loose money, and ruin the business you spent many years building. Best thing for anyone to do would be to not buy it if they donāt believe it will meet their needs.
Not to get political, but for the...
Loads On Tailgate Cable Mounting Locations
Removed the upper {tailgate striker/extended load} and middle {normal bed level} cable mounting bolts. Both have captive washers, and markings on the head (see photos). Markings could be load info and/or Ford ID numbers.
Donāt have torque setting for...
Thanks for the input.
I mistakenly referred to the upper and lower points in previous postings, according to the OM, they should have been referred to as the upper {tailgate striker/extended load} and middle {normal bed level} points. {OM Page 82}
Note: Attach both cables when using the...
Thanks, thought I'd seen that in the OM, but several posters were quoting the 400 number, and hadn't taken the time to revisit the OM to check. Guess it's better to be quoting under than over if you are not sure.
Don't remember seeing a load rating for the upper cable points, so still looking...
From what I have seen posted, the tailgate load limit is 400 pounds, evenly spread across the surface. My need was to load a 500 pound bike, so my weight and the weight of the bike, even when using two ramps, would probably exceed that limit. Another factor is that each of the bikes footprints...
LOOKING FOR A TAILGATE LEVELER?
Did check my truck on level concrete, no sag or lift at rear when unloaded. Rear edge of the tailgate is not level with the bed, drops about 1.25ā, see attached photo.
For those who are looking for a simple way to bring the āMavā tailgate level with the bed...
Plywood will work OK, just be careful and donāt use treated plywood, the chemicals they use, require that you only make contact with hot dipped galvanized or SS metal. It will eat up other metals and ruin your paint, especially moisture is involved. Donāt ask me how I know!

My bad, what can I say other than it was too late for me to be trying to do anything, especially anything that involved using my brain and an electronic device at the same time.

At my age putting 500 pound bike on/off the truck by myself is hard enough. Donāt want to have to reposition it as well. Take a look at the info on the link, you might get some ideas...
David, would really appreciate some info on these bags. Have developed a package to load my motorcycle in the bed of the Maverick, but feel the need for some additional load support.

When I was earning a living in sales, folks would shop my quotes, often resulting in a lost sale. Started putting false product numbers in the quote so that if the data was used by someone else to quote a price, and they got the order, it...
