Thank you for your insight! I guess once it gets here I'll go with the flow and change it relatively soon just for the first one after some time depending on how much I drive. I probably put about 700 miles on my current vehicle a month so maybe two or three months I will go.
This was pretty impressive to me too! I kinda thought I'd rather stick to a 2,000-pound trailer, but maybe I can go a little higher just depending on what else I end up wanting to load it with which could be another 600 or more pounds of equipment.
This is great to hear! I was a bit bummed the XLT didn't get the push-button start too. I love that feature with hands-free of the key features :P what a first world problem it is lol :)
I was spoiled with it on my mother's '15 Honda Accord and now my girlfriend's '21 Forester Sport.
My dealer in Olympia, WA said they've been marking up any builds that the customer changes their mind on about $2k on Mavericks and around $3k I think on Bronco Sports and $5k on Bronco's.
Yeah, I honestly don't think I'll be switching modes unless I'm on a dirt road or snow lol. Even then I probably wouldn't be so I'm gonna be happy with it either way.
Kind of interesting they couldn't just add the extra modes from FX4 as additions, but I personally wouldn't be using eco or sport. Maybe eco if I was really being conscious, but since I'll be coming from a 17.6MPG Ranger even if I get 22MPG I'm gonna be happy.
If the cover had some type of foam or sound deadening under it there probably would be a difference, but I doubt it would be too noticeable given all the other sounds on the road in daily driving.
I'm curious on how easy it is to pull apart the doors. I hope it's not too difficult! I always want to watch a video of someone pulling apart a panel before I do it myself because I feel like I tend to pull in the wrong direction and usually risk breaking plastic clips lol.
I was thinking 2,500-3,000 miles then an oil change, but now I'm kind of questioning that. I do feel like new vehicles should be okay for longer, but then that begs the question, if I were to put in 5w30 Mobil 1 Full-Synthetic around 3k or something, what about oil additives like those break-in...
That's good to know. I am going to do a liner in the bed, but this doesn't hurt as something extra! I'm sure it helps either way. Thank you for showing us the progress and results.
I felt like I should have a spreadsheet coming to my woman about this truck lol. I just went into it confident saying, hey I ordered this truck and it will be here in February if I'm lucky. Pretty sure it will fit my needs and our needs, I couldn't beat the price compared to the $60k F-150 I...
I just stopped by my Mullinax Ford dealer in Olympia, WA and the guy said they have about 180 allocated and that they don't usually get a limit for how big of a dealer they are which is cool. That's a heck of a lot. Do you guys know what some of your dealer allocations are?
I came in to submit...
I'm certainly excited about doing some of this. Looking forward to seeing some results. I'm thinking of putting some under the hood as well if that seems worth it.
Awesome! It's always good to hear of success, and that makes me more confident in trying this out. Gonna love doing little things to this truck. Thank you for letting me know!
