Not a chance. If I could do it again I would have gone base. The Mav is a decent cheap truck, but it is built like a cheap truck. Rattles, road noise, and all that fun. I would keep cost as low as possible. With the deals right now if I was going to drop 40k I would go get a full size all...
I have had endless rattles also. I am keeping my Mav for the time being because there is nothing else to buy. If Toyota drops a Mav sized truck I will be in line. Ford over-cheaped out on what is now a $30k truck. If it was really $20k I might have understood, but that extra $10k takes away...
That is what I thought. It is my understanding that you lock the steering wheel center (and maybe reset the sensor) and then redo toe. I do appreciate the insight into the drive by wire part. My Maverick is new so I have not really looked up under it much yet.
I will schedule something at...
I am sure. I had a different issue with this dealership and corporate Ford could not even get someone on the phone. I feel like dealerships can kind fo do what they want and it is on you to find a good one since they don't seem to have a ton of accountability to Ford.
I mainly wanted to...
My guess is they could not do it and wanted to blame something. I think I will just try another dealership. To me if you can't do an alignment right what else are you messing up?
I am hoping to get some insight as to my next steps. I have taken my truck in twice to my local dealership to get the steering wheel straightened. They have done an alignment both times, and this last time my wheel was even more crooked than before. I understand how you straighten a wheel...
I woudl say partially true, but those who do want to work are going to follow the money and the good enviroment. It is a sign of how bad dealerships are to people.
Good employees work at good places.
The techs at my local dealership are pretty bad. I basically pay a small repiar shop for most everything now instead of going through three rounds of "repairs" with them. Unless it is something major it is more of a headache than it is worth. I think the country has done this to themselves by...
I would like to see some kind of enclosure for the front cubby. Maybe soemthing that drops in and has a door. Just soemthing to hide any mess and make the cabin a little cleaner.
Also, a proper under hood insulation kit. There are some out there but the quality if not there along with the...
You can. Look around on here and there are to ton of messages about it. You can buy one up to the end of the factory warranty. I purchased from Flood Ford but I know there are other reputable ones.
Lol. That is what I was thinking. I am surprised over and over how little control Ford has over anything. Their dealers can basicallyy do whatever they want from what I have seen. I have a bad local dealer and it has totally soured me on Ford so far even though I like the truck. A car...
I don't think either of those are quirks. My car has never stuttered and I have never known a clunk in a transmission to be a normal thing. Mine is the hybrid so the transmission is different, but I would be worried about a noise when the car shifts.
I miss the dependability of my Frontier. I have had more issues with a Ford in a few months than I did the whole time I owned that truck. Think I have the kinks out, but obviously QC is pretty abysmal. You should not have to get a new truck fixed just to make it new.
I now worry about the...
Welcome to owning a Ford. Check out the ESP warranties. Well worth it if you are going to keep the truck. I have had issues already also. Since you have already taken the depreciation hit it is cheaper to buy the warranty then bail. I have looked into it.
One thing I will give them is you...
