I bought some, since it was the "early days" of Maverick audio upgrades 2 years ago, and didn't know if I'd need them or not. The Puzus aren't bad per say, and can be surprisingly good if the person installing them knows how to tune properly, but... The JL is most certainly better and easier...
I was typing a long descriptive response, but @Krazor8 just made that statement moot with the news of the JL Fix 86, lol. The JL is a superior product to the Puzu anyway, so you'll probably be happier with it. FWIW, there are a lot of people on here running the Puzu and other brands of DSP...
I'm pretty sure no load generating devices are needed with the Puzu. Load generating devices are like LOCs. They usually aren't needed on these trucks, assuming your DSP/Amps can handle speaker level inputs. The devices with high level inputs use resistors to lower the signal, which generate...
Okay, I'll bite... I suspect there is more to this story, than what we're being told. First of all, a LOC isn't needed, unless your amp/DSP can't handle high level input, but most can. Are you saying you only have an amp on the sub right now, and plan on adding one for the other speakers...
@BoboysTruck , did the code stay on or go away? Just curious what you ended up doing. I just got the same code this morning, and I'm at 85K miles. Seems to drive just like normal, fwiw. I use my truck for running service calls, and I'm trying to gather as much info as I can prior to calling...
@TBD I'm at 85k now, and finally got the P0B24 code this morning. The truck still drives normally, but with an engine light... I just wanted to check in to see if you had any more issues after the high voltage battery replacement(now that you've had plenty of time with it)? Oddly enough, my...
That's a bummer for sure. It might be worth it to change sub amp in your case. I know it's more money, but sometimes, that's what you have to do if you want things to be "right". Especially, given the hybrid's tendency to eat 12v batteries in many cases. FWIW, I've been running a fairly...
It's hard to say without knowing what amp you have. Some amps do switch automatically, but I would think there'd be a switch/setting somewhere on the amp?
Sounds like a case of noise in the RCAs combined with using signal sense turn on. NEVER use signal sensing turn on with these trucks. The truck sends voltage through the speaker wires, even when truck is off, which will then turn on the amps when it isn't supposed. Every time you open a door...
His truck has the Michelins. I'm with @colinl on that tire life though! I squeaked 45k out of mine, but 90K? I can't even imagine that kind of life, and I can't imagine being stuck in traffic behind the person that gets it either
Right now, I'm at about 82k on my '23(had it just under...
I'm sure that will work just fine. I ended up using something similar from Amazon. It was listed as touch up paint for Tesla matte black wheels, but it seemed to work okay on the Maverick's wheels. Definitely better than nothing.
Ford is making a mistake not making that package available in a regular cab F-150. 95% of the hotrod F-150s we see started life as a regular cab work truck...
As I understand it, that rear end is not simply a mechanical device. Meaning, it is computer controlled and definitely not a plug and play option. It would probably be cheaper/easier to trade your truck on a Tremor. If it were like the old school mechanical lockers, it would be a matter of...
It was a significant pain in the arse to mount these big Dynaudio tweeters(I think I had to cut the hole in the dash to almost 1.5" for them to fit), and I had to do it with a high wattage soldering iron and an L shaped metal rod inserted into it. Basically like a hot knife, because the...
Everything is pretty much fine for me. I've only had software updates at this point. I did/do have the occasional weird jerk when slowing from highway speeds to a stop, but not enough to really bother me, and I couldn't duplicate for the dealer when I tried. Other than that, I have the...
Please report back on what parts the dealer replaced, because that is what we really want to know so we can look out for symptoms ourselves :D Maybe, the sluggish acceleration could have been due to the hybrid battery(traction battery) being depleted and the acceleration being purely from the...
I know for sure the set Flat EQ is in easy mode, so you don't need to mess with module numbers. I think the others you mentioned are in the easy mode as well. At least that's the case on the '23 and '24 models. I guess they haven't updated it to show the ACM module configuration yet :(
I haven't seen any updates on that one specifically, but I think Kenwood/JVC were both releasing a bunch of new OEM replacement stuff this year. That includes a couple of different Ford 8" display kits. I didn't catch all the details though... An upgraded head unit that fully integrates sure...
