You should start to better mileage when the winter fuel mixes are phased out for the Summer mix ( usually around late April). Are you carrying anything heavy regularly in the bed? Tire’s PSI? Maybe switch to a different gas station if you have consistently been using the same one.
As an aside, I...
I Recently sold a 2010 Ranger(xlt standard cab). I’m currently driving our extra car(2007 Pontiac Vibe) while waiting for my XL hybrid to arrive.
This will be my commuter car when it arrives.
When I finally get my XL hybrid, I plan to keep my steelies. I may experiment with different color choices ( via Plastidip) to see how the color will pair with Area 51. I’m thinking maybe a graphite, bronze, or even an off white steel wheel might compliment the truck. Or I’ll keep it the...
Awesome, thanks for posting. I’m waiting for my XL Area 51 hybrid to eventually arrive. I’m exploring wheel choices( Tire Rack /Costco etc) and really like how these wheels look on your ride.
I recently sold my 2010 Ranger. I will use my old Vibe until the Maverick arrives. I also peruse FB marketplace for a placeholder(search manual trans. And the options are plenty and reasonable)
The Santa Cruz:
more luxurious
More carlike
negatives:
Fuel economy is not any better than some full-size trucks ( this includes both engine options)
expensive
Maverick:
Better fuel economy( in any engine configuration)
More trucklike utility
Less expensive
negatives:
Interiors are cheaper...
Congratulations on you new Prius. I actually like the “lower” trim of the Prius. The interior doesn’t have that massive but slow reacting touchscreen. I agree that Toyota toned down the controversial look of this generation. It truly is a perfect commuter car. I’m looking forward to my XL Hybrid...
I sold my 2010 Ranger ( reg cab/XLT) with low mileage (79k) to Carvana. They paid 10k+ for a 12 year old truck. Carvana is reselling at the 16-18k range. Based on a quick search. Crazy times indeed
I vote white mainly because it is the most common color for new cars. I want a color to standout. I’ve had mostly blue hues, reds, black and yes one white Ranger 4x4 (bought from a local for a great price ). I love black but it is a full time job keeping it clean. I love dark blues/reds and...
I used to live in Chester County. Beautiful area . Thank you for the in-depth review. It seems that the Hybrid will satisfy all on my vehicle needs. I'm just wanting for it to be delivered.
I’m not sure if Canadian versions have different standard features(ie steering wheel and or seat heaters) that aren’t readily available to install. Interesting because I just watched a Canadian based review of A Maverick
First off the Prius V is a fantastic car and I’m actually surprised that it isn’t more popular. It has more space and better rear sight lines than the regular Prius. I also had a rusty 1999 Ranger 4x4.
Counterpoint:
This is the same color/spec I’m getting. I like the steel wheels for the cost value and the ability to be painted/plastidipped any color. Or dressed up with chrome rings.
However, alloy wheels will also personalize to the owner’s taste.
I agree that the SC is more for active lifestyle while the Maverick would basically do pickup truck duties. To me, the SC is the right sie vehicle for active lifestyle things( I like the Ridgeline but too large for my needs). I chose the Maverick for the option on a hybrid( to make it my...
I like it very much. I love seeing how Maverick owners are personalizing their vehicles to their tastes. If gives me a lot of ideas whenever I finally receive my Maverick.
