Very entertaining but I take issue with two things: One, the Maverick hybrid is actually very fun to drive in my experience and two, I also enjoy the pretentious personality of sport mode which for a period of time you can almost imagine you're driving a conventional ICE propelled vehicle.
And...
My dealer has been offering mobile service for years. Apparently they prefer it because they call ME to get the recalls scheduled. I'm guessing it improves customer compliance and they get it off the books quicker. The latest trailer recall update only took about 10 minutes but the upcoming IPC...
I don't particularly trust the digital fuel economy gauge although I think it can be adjusted in Forscan but that's another thread. The most accurate method IMO is to fill up to one click at the pump. Drive until at least 1/4 or less in the tank. Fill up again at the same pump to one click and...
China is currently producing at least 4 EV pickups with ranges not significantly better than 300 miles. However, they start at less than $20,000 US but of course that's simply a comparative. Jim Farley has taken several trips over there in the last two years to get an up close look at their...
Buyback claims in Ohio must be filed within the first year of ownership. If qualified and no damage, you'll receive a check for the full amount on the sales agreement including tax plus any interest you paid. Of course then you face the issue of finding a replacement.
Very interesting insights and a logical explanation. I'll have to play around with it myself as my resting voltage is rarely above 11.8 v. But I would have to add, there is no free lunch. The energy to power that extra draw comes from the HVB. That in turn has to reduce efficiency. The reduction...
BTW, the oil collection instructions are nearly identical to how you should collect a clean catch urine sample. Remember it the next time you're in your doctor's office for a physical.
The mileage on my 25 Hybrid AWD is consistently 25% electric only. That's about it but I really don't pay any particular attention to how I drive it, I just drive.
Bad news for you Tim. I've had my 25 hybrid since October and the 12v battery issues have not gone away. The SOC tends to hang out anywhere from around 30-40%. There is seemingly no end in sight.
I'm glad that all worked out for you. My case was similar except no negotiating was necessary. The RAV rep just flat out offered the exact figure that was on the sales agreement, including sales tax of course. That is more typical from what I have been told from multiple dealers with experience...
Good for you Jim, I hope that takes care of the issue. Unfortunately that will not be a universal fix for many owners. My 24 hybrid spent around six weeks in service before Ford bought it back after 8k miles. No parasitic draw was ever detected and no solution was ever developed despite all of...
That was my point exactly but the replies referred to why the fuel door is designed to lock in the first place. It is a safety feature to protect the operator from accessing the sealed fuel inlet before the system is depressurized. The door itself does not actually seal anything. Okay that's...
Not a fan of this emergency release handle. Anyone with knowledge of its function can just pop open the fuel filler door and do whatever. It really defeats the purpose of having it locked closed in the first place. I tucked mine back behind the wheel well shroud as far as I could. At least it...
