The only thing I see that the head unit does outside of audio is the backup camera and it shows the AC temp, which is already redundant on the Lariat. Unless there's more to it that its doing behind the scenes?
Edit: oh wait it does show the cross traffic alerts and proximity alerts. That...
Just wondering how feasible it would be and what all would be lost in the process if anything.
I'm wanting to give my audio a big upgrade but keeping the stock unit seems like it would be a rather large bottle neck.
I haven't had to have any service on mine yet (I've been having a local place in Landrum change the oil when it needs it) and hopefully I won't for a long time to come, but when I do I plan on taking it back to D&D Motors in Greer where I bought it. I don't know about service but it was a good...
I don't know enough about this stuff to argue one way or another. I'm just wondering why the air temperature would be any different. Shouldn't it still be ambient temperature no matter what intake you're using?
Nice! I put mine on a couple weeks ago. I really enjoy it. Not much louder than stock, just a much deeper tone. I think it sounds much better.
I just need to find the motivation to make an adjustment or two on it. I have it hanging too low at the exit.
