Coilover springs, nuthin! After reading your tale of road mishaps, you should consider a railroad cow catcher, race ready rollover cage, and an armed escort. Getting hit is bad enough, but seeing that first damage to your ride while it is still in the "pride and joy" mode.....heartbreaking!
I DID see them when I originally looked, but don't find them now. My thoughts are that one could cut the tube in the middle and use ribbed connectors to and from the catch can, and if needed, replace that setup with a straight barbed connector, covering it with the slit ribbed protector to hide...
FWIW, the blue plastic on the clamps is a dead give away. I have seen the OEM orange ones listed for under $25, and think I will get one of those as a "swap back" for any time I let Ford peek under the hood.
As to power supply, I installed the Curt unit and used the in-bed 12v power supply via an inexpensive matching (Amazon) plug. If my memory serves, the Curt is rated for 10 amps, the power supply 15. No codes or problems, though I have not towed with it yet. I found that the Curt "box" mounted...
