i ordered in june, XL, FWD ecoboost, with just a couple things, full size spare, tow hits (not 4k), and spray in bedliner.
I'm the second maverick my dealer has gotten in, but i was the 6th order, so its really a mixed bag as far as scheduling.
all i can say is I'm very happy with it, and for...
we are trying to move away from so much wasted plastic in our house. Given I drink about 1.5 gallons of water a day, using plastic is a lot of waste when you get the water from a standard .5L bottle.
Serious question here.
is there a list of what water bottles WILL fit in the front doors?
i tried a 40oz hydroflask, and a 32oz nalgene to no avail as those are the ones i have on hand. without buying more bottles that don't fit, does anyone have a list of ones that DO fit.
i know its a...
2.0 FWD here, got it friday, its a nice little city truck.
i don't plan on towing a large load, maybe a couple motorcycles, or a small trailer, and i don't do the snow at all (southern california). theres a lot of desert, but if i was planning on more of that, i would have kept my 4WD ranger.
got mine today.
nice little buggy. there is one scratched area inside the door by the window, ill take it back monday for them to see it, might just try some touch up. otherwise this thing is pretty good.
Where would that go in the car?
im gonna be needing something that works for the driver, I haven’t received my maverick yet, so I don’t know where there is a slot for the driver to use?

sucky situation for sure.
The best aluminum wheel I have ever seen is from Mercedes, 81-84 240d with a hubcap. The wheel looks like a regular ol steel wheel. BUT, it’s aluminum, and weighs 9lbs
given that steel is 3x heavier than aluminum as a base material, one would assume a steel wheel is heavier.
but
the oem alloy wheels are a LOT thicker than the steel wheels.
that’s not to say they’re heavier, but until one gets weighed, it’s sheer speculation.
Looks like 2 pieces and a weld, so, only way to make these with any sort of repetition is laser cut and press brake. Then there’s gotta be a fixture and welding. Then powdercoat.
all you guys saying $20/pair, sure in China. That’s probably a $40-50/pair at retail. Probably a realistic cost of...
further, the hybrid uses an “Atkinson cycle” engine arrangement which leaves the valves open a touch and they don’t have the problem of coming up
