I started taking my vehicle to a local mechanic just a few blocks away, for maintenance, annual inspections, and oil changes. They seem to be honest, good folk. I imagine I'll keep going to them if I ever get my Maverick.
When I asked my dealer if they could confirm COVP, my salesman sent me a pic, not of the screen you posted, but looked to be a printed page that says "Order Enrollment Page" that then says "Thank you for your Order Enrollment. Your claim is being reviewed and you will receive a confirmation...
No I don't think anyone got the e-mail. Original post may have been based on a hoax.
I checked via chat on ford.com yesterday...still no VIN. Order is still in "processing."
I got a text from the sales guy I've been dealing with at the dealer about a velocity blue XLT with lux package that just came in.
But eh, while I like the lux, I want the truck I ordered with the 4k tow, moon roof, in hot pepper red. I said thanks but no thanks...I'll wait to see if I get a...
I feel like this is a valuable thread. I know there's some stuff I can learn from here. Just wish the points could be made without pedantic snobbery.
ANYWAY, let's pretend you choose to finance because the dealership won't sell you the vehicle unless you agree to whatever financing they demand...

There's a Ridgeline RTL that was built and is in transit to a nearby Honda dealer. They said they don't upcharge, just MSRP plus tax and title/registration fees. It's in the color I want too. Considering putting in a claim on it so that I get first dibs if I want.
But it's $42,240 MSRP. And the...
I may have checked that already, don't quite remember, but regardless, it does not list bed depth (or height, if you will). I don't know why it's so elusive!
East coast here as well, no e-mail yet. When we all (or most) got that e-mail on March 18th about an "important new update" that was basically no update at all, it came to my inbox around 2130. So I'll expect to see an e-mail around the same time this evening.
Ha, I've been thinking about going and claiming a 2022 Ridgeline RTL because I've been three months plus now without a vehicle of my own and just twiddling my thumbs, wondering if my Mav will get scheduled any time soon.
But the Ridgeline RTL is just so expensive, and like the OP said, really...
