This engine bay has lot of open space for air movement. Wait for summer to see how hot the engine gets, when the truck is just seating in sun with engine off, compare it to other car you may have with insulated hood. My guess is, it's probably not needed for heat, unless you have a dark color...
I drove Kia Soul before. When ordering, I compared the interior of both, about the same space and seating position. I thought, it will be similar, I will gain the bed. After getting the truck, the interior volume is similar, but I can't believe how boxy the hood is when looking out from...
I agree, it does have a strong new car smell. I keep the air flow on fresh air. it's really cold now, but when it warms up a bit, will open up all the windows and let it air out. Hopefully little heat will evaporate the chemicals faster. I took the option for the all weather floor mats...
Thanks, I have been reading the related threads. Reports of the white smoke in tail pipe is a mystery, doesn't sound like it's normal operation. Electrical load on the engine should not cause this.
Since the engine surging sounds like it's related to the electrical load on the system, anyone experiencing this issue, please make a note of the major electrical loads, for example are the seat heaters ON, and/or is the heat set to Max. We already know this happens on cold days. Try switching...
What happens if you total the before the extended warranty starts, do you get money back or you loose it. Or if you decide to sell or trade, does it transfer to next owner?
Thanks, I’m not worried about the financing, just feel uneasy about signing things I can’t see. Due to Covid, big glass barriers are put up, so can’t see the computer and signatures are taken on the little device like CC kiosk. I should be more like BILLNOROVILLE, not worry about it.
1st the great news, I picked up my XL hybrid today, ordered in July. Didn’t drive it much but fit and finish looks great. The engine is harsher than I thought, the Prius engine seems to rev smoother but less powerful. Hopefully as the temp gets warmer and as the engine breaks in, it will be...
