The lack of necessary the skills, and just as importantly, the pride to actually care about doing a job correctly is NOT limited to the automotive field...
Have you tried to find a good plumber, carpenter or electrician lately?
I end up doing just about everything myself, it's just plain...
I'm not THAT draconian. 🤣
My '93 has fuel injection and a computer controlling many of the drivetrain functionalities.
The idea that we need a computer module to control the lighting is IMHO overkill. We've taken a simple circuit for taillights and overcomplicated it. And that's just one...
Can we just get rid of the dang computer modules controlling everything?
I mean c'mon Ford, your a car( well truck/suv company except for the mustang) leave the computer stuff to the folks at Apple and Microsoft..
Wanted a small truck and the Tremor offers plenty of off pavement capability for my needs. It will carry almost the same payload as a larger pickup, albeit in a smaller bed. I don't often tow anything and when I do I usually use the F150. For me the '23 XLT Tremor with luxury package checked all...
The little stubby antenna should be easily unscrewed by hand, then just put it in your console and screw it back on hand tight when you remove the cover.
My thoughts on car covers is you get what you pay for. The cheap ones don't last and don't offer much protection from the elements. Several...
These updates are Fords' way of keeping you informed. Sometimes the production week changes, sometimes its the actual production day that changes.
I received notice of the production week, then another once a production day was scheduled, and two more telling me the production day changed...
You're correct. I'm using my experience to judge, and in my experience it's not a pleasant driving experience to tow something that weighs as much as the tow vehicle, with the two vehicles fighting each other for top dog status, especially in a crosswind.
The Maverick weighs about 4k curb weight...
Liability issues aside, I agree that I was pushing the limits, and I stated as much. Was it ill advised on my part? Probably, but that's not the subject up for discussion. And yes, going forward the F150 will be my tow vehicle of choice.
My point is that for the reasons you stated, softer...
If you want towing capacity, the Maverick is not vehicle to use. I usually tow using the F150 which is a dinosaur of a vehicle and is rated for somewhere around 7k towing.
I did tow with the Tremor this week. Utility trailer with 70 bags of mulch - about 5 cubic yards -well above the 2k rating,I...
Your final price on the vehicle will depend on your negotiating skills AND your knowledge of what MSRP is and the dealers invoice cost - they are distinctly different things.
As far as financing through the dealer, sometimes they make the price negotiating easier because they get an incentive...
If they want a 5 star rating, give me 5 star service. Don't ignore customer inquiries about the order, don't respond to an email with a text to "try" and break the communication chain. Answer questions truthfully. ( I'm an adult, I can handle it,) and don't try and brush them off with "...
I'm not sure that the access doors on the skid plates will help when changing the oil on the Tremor. I did the first service on mine and the oil filter location is forward enough (towards the front of the vehicle) that the actual plastic facia/bumper is directly below the filter.
I had to fab...
Mine is not a hybrid, but, I had the taillight recall done in my driveway by the mobile tech from my dealer without any issues. I found a notice in the service manual about doing ANY module updates which states that "load shedding" AKA the battery management system may interfere with the...
