If they do, tell them to take a hike. They can't force you to pay over MSRP. I don't think there are very many dealers left price-gouging the Mavericks since supply has finally caught up with demand, but I suppose the '25 model year may re-ignite that practice among some. I just got a '24 model...
It isn't something I've ever thought about before, but I can see the benefits as long as it's:
A. Optional and can be disabled
B. A one-time warning/tone, not a constant nag
More functional than the "check the back seat" warning (that you can thankfully disable). But that's just my two cents.
I haven't had it long enough for a confident answer, but I didn't notice anything yesterday when driving about 80 miles. Highest speed was a bit under 65mph if that's helpful.
Installation wasn't as straight forward as I would have liked. I stalled briefly on the C-Clamps and horizontal positioning of the rails. The tension is definitely the part most prone to trouble. Written instructions for the proper positioning and adjustment of the two tension blocks is not bad...
Thanks. I got it from RealTruck, so I thought I might give them some positive feedback in their sponsor thread. Here's a link if you're interested, and it's still on sale for now.

Agreed, the keyless entry is well implemented on the Maverick. I have the same feature (implemented the same way) on my Olds MKZ as well, so it's nice to have parity there. My Genesis had keyless entry, but it was implemented using a button. A minor thing, but just grabbing the handle is a nice...
Ordered on Sunday, installed Wednesday. It was on sale for $50 off (no additional discount available). I really wanted a hard rollup, but that's not in my price range now. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it fit. Nice and flat, and low profile as well. Good product, delivered quickly...
The Mabett Hood Lift Support and Tailgate Damper addressed two of my minor pain points on the Maverick. So much so that I wasn't even that upset that I forgot to select the $5 coupon! :cwl:
I need a ramp to access and leave my back yard, and was previously using some standard Harbor Freight metal ramps. As you can see by the photo below, my 2024 Lariat bumper facia is too low for me to use them now, making contact with the surface of the ramp when the tire is still a couple of...
Most dealers in my area are selling at MSRP. I got mine for MSRP minus $2000 in incentives ($1000 for trade in, and $1000 for dealer financing -- which was an excellent 4.7%). I also didn't have to wrestle with the finance manager who made no effort to sell extended warranty packages, etc. I...
