  1. Texas Stock XLT Wheels Take offs for sale

Hell I'd buy them for my XLT winter tires. Live too far though and don't need to pay a grand. I can get some nice aftermarket alloy winter wheels for well under $200/ea. Fair deal for anyone who is able to pick them up though, especially anyone who wants to keep OEM!
  2. 2.5 hybrid engine requires Premium Gasoline?

That's what I said 3 posts above...with a mechanical explanation and no Wikipedia reference. 😆
  3. 2.5 hybrid engine requires Premium Gasoline?

?????????? That's what this thread is all about. And the answer has been given: NO. It requires only 87 octane.
  4. 2.5 hybrid engine requires Premium Gasoline?

If you read past the "87" graphic, you'll see that 91 is recommended for optimum performance, particularly in hot conditions and when towing. Just want to point that out... The compression ratio is a bit of a red herring. The Atkinson cycle leaves the intake valves open for part of the...
  5. What are you excited to use your Maverick for?

"Car" camping. Trips to the home center. Driving to bicycle rides. Trips to pick up furniture wood. Delivering my handcrafted furniture. Towing my motorcycle to track days. Picking up tools and appliances. And ultimately...just being retired :D
  6. Driving in Low

Yes, I do think I may have seen that in one of the eCVT videos. This would help save brake pads, but I don't think it's going to facilitate one pedal driving. It's going to be like engine braking an ICE manual transmission car. The difference being that MG1 can drastically reduce the gear ratio...
  7. Driving in Low

I wouldn't worry about damaging the battery or charging system. The computer will not overcharge the battery. But if the battery is full, then you can't have full braking effect in the motor since there'd be nowhere to dump the current generated. So I suspect one pedal driving isn't practical in...
  8. 📬 9/30 Scheduling Email Received Group! [Share Your Reservation and Build Dates]

TMI That's a downside of our information rich world. We compare ourselves to other people. 20 years ago, we'd have no way of knowing that some stranger scored where we didn't. The internet and human nature don't always work well together...
  9. Just called Ford for an update on my order

I think the right way to say it is "The Ford works in mysterious ways..."
  10. Hybrid Order Support Group

you gotta spend more time on the forum. You're apparently slacking :sneaky:
  11. * UPDATE*10/20* Dealer Hybrid hasn't been approved by government

Just hope I get my build scheduled before I get to 12 :ROFLMAO:
  12. 1” to 2” lift kit

Huh. Curious what offends your sensibilities. And what's your objective standard of Ute beauty? I don't have a dog in the hunt. I've never owned a 4x4 and don't anticipate ever owning one. But I find the BS to be as attractive as any and more attractive than some.
  13. * UPDATE*10/20* Dealer Hybrid hasn't been approved by government

This is the first hybrid sticker I've seen posted. I only spend 10 hours/day on this forum...so I'm bound to miss some things.
  14. Tailgate cable release mechanism

I haven't seen a Mav IRL yet. But I remember one of the early promo videos showing the cable tilt feature. The guy demonstrating really fumbled with the cable connection. Didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling.
  15. 1” to 2” lift kit

What an original thread. Can't believe it hasn't come up before 🙄
  16. * UPDATE*10/20* Dealer Hybrid hasn't been approved by government

So what about the big "Not for Sale" stamp across the sticker? How are we to know what's original and what's your editorial statement? This makes your post very confusing. I appreciate creative commentary, but you can't be The Onion and The New York Times at the same time.
  17. * UPDATE*10/20* Dealer Hybrid hasn't been approved by government

"Sorry Maverick Truck Club. Nice Try Though" Yeah, that looks like an authentic Ford window sticker....🙄
  18. Maverick Constraints / Commodities (National) as of September 29

Don't know where your math comes from, but 30% doesn't suck. It's not like we're talking Powerball odds here!
