Couple of other quick and easy ones while it's still a touch too cold to stay outside and play.
Hardest part was waiting for the inventory at Maverick Innovations to restock.
Snaps into place. Looks good. No notes. 10/10.
Next up - Maxina water barrier clips. Started with something easy, as I'm not the best DIY'er. (And, amusingly, I had trouble even here. Was trying to put these in backwards, until Maxina's support kindly showed me what I was doing wrong without making me feel like an idiot. Thanks, guys!)
First change - tint job. (Actually, my shop did this before I took delivery. Though I went back and forth a couple of times because of the eyebrow.)
Didn't want any Imperial entanglements, so I stuck with the 35% VLT on the front row. Clear ceramic elsewhere to fight off the oppressive Alabama...
I'm starting to put things together. Thought I'd stick all the pics in one place, rather than scattering them around. Just making note of the little changes I'm making to my little truck.
First, though, the boring "first day home" pic to show it stock. Need to have a "Before" picture, right?
I love my XLT. Though, like everyone else, I agree that the stock sound system is garbage.
Since we get store credit from our Ford points, has anyone tried getting the amp from the Lariat’s B&O upgrade?
Curious if this is even worth it, or if it’s still a budget part for a budget truck...
Only lightly. My ma-in-law's head was in the center of the shot. Guess my phone's auto-correct thing got a little too aggressive in trying to clean up the image.
Good eyes, though! Let me try again, being a little more careful this time. ;)
I got kinda lucky here...my old CB handle was "maverick," and my old truck had it across the eyebrow tint stripe. So I don't mind the brand name stamped into the metal here, or filling it in with more noticeable raised lettering.
(As for the rest? Pulled the "certified Ford spray-in bedliner"...
I've probably been buying parts for at least that long. Got a whole stack of trim I need to put on! But I couldn't resist posting at least one "before" picture, especially after freshly detailed and on such a fine day.
