Nice work! I've got a toddler, and one of the first things I'll likely use the Mav for is hauling bikes to the park. Might have to rig up something similar!
Pretty cool. Guess I know what I'll be spending my Ford points on.
(Unless the install for the Lariat plug and light is similarly easy to do. Might go that route instead.)
Love your videos, BTW!
Was kinda backwards for me. Dealer sold me on the perfect combination of everything I needed, and nothing I didn't. (Things like heated seats might not be worth the higher trim level when you're routinely in 90-100 degree weather!)
Things were all but finalized...the truck was in Orlando, but...
Blue. That was my only real concern - I liked the darker shade from the previous models, and was worried this one would be a little too bright. Still, it'll look sharp compared to all the whites and blacks and greys (again, just my personal preference there!)
Oh, absolutely! Nothing wrong with trucks with lids on the back at all. Just not my preference. (It also helps that I don't have dogs or friends to worry about, and live in a place where we only get snow once every 20 years or so. If I were in Michigan, I'd very likely be tired of shoveling...
Mostly just personal experience. It looks more 'trucky' with an open bed, and from my Silverado, I liked the ease of simply being able to toss stuff in there when there was a need. Plus, with this having an extended cab, I can always put the occasional groceries or such in the back seat.
I've...
Does a trip to pick out my new Mav count?
Didn't end up with either of these...decided to get one from the factory. Wanted more of the nice little extras like the sunroof and 360 sensor package. But it was close enough to get me to place my order!
I haven't actually posted on here before, but after seeing an "Ordered Today" thread I thought I should at least post some sort of introduction.
Russ from Alabama here. Last truck was a 1979 square-body Silverado 454 that I drove until it was stolen. Switched to a 2006 Mustang GT convertible...
She's still sitting in my driveway. 2025 AWD XLT is on order, but it's only my one-month waitaversary. REALLY looking forward to joining the club "for real" though!
