Too steep of a descent will rev the engine too much. I wish the low button only dropped the gear one lower every time you pressed it. That would be like downshifting to control your speed with a manual trans.

This video shows engine braking with low gear. If the descent is too steep, the RPMs will be too high. Take it out of low gear and manually brake until the descent is not so bad.

Here is my video showing the capability of my turbo AWD on snow covered streets in Park City. Most snow videos I see are in flat areas so they cannot show how the Mav AWD performs from a full stop uphill on an unplowed street like this. Hope this helps! Maniac
