Same experience here... bought it and installed it only to find it slides around when making turns and stops in everyday traffic. What a letdown- obviously no "real world" testing was done on this product:(.
One of my previous Mavs, a 23 Ecoboost, had something similar. Clicking/popping from pssgr side headliner area near the sunvisor- worse in colder weather. I now believe it was the dreaded windshield alignment pins...lots of info and pics on this issue. Yours could be similar or perhaps the...
Very perceptive... I've had two Shelbys- an 07 GT500 and an 09 GT500KR. Loved both but neither had anywhere near the tech of modern cars and trucks lol.
Just checking in as I dont usually post pics of my vehicle- i just ogle other people's lol. Turned over 13k miles on my 2025 Hybrid Lariat 4k. No issues to speak of except an annoying creaking noise from the right rear of the back window. It has its share of rock chips (soft paint?) but...
To me, this is what forums are all about...shared knowledge, experiences and expertise! Thanks to everyone who (positively) contributed.- you guys are AWESOME!
.
For me, this was the problem area. Like stated earlier above, I suspect when going over bumpy roads, the headliner was gently tapping on the top of the rear glass- inserting this temporary "shim" made my popping/creaking sound go completely away. I'll now look into a more attractive and...
Well, this certainly isn't pretty, but here's my temporary band-aid to see if my noise was indeed caused by the headliner contacting the rear glass... a few pieces of thin legal pad backing folded up and strategically placed lol. So far, so good!
I had a similar thought, but my noise is still there even with the jack bundle removed... thanks though!
Im beginning to think my creaking may be coming from the c pillar plastic speaker cover. Of course, this may be another dead end lol. Anyone heard of a noise from there before?
Good advice- that's the first thing i tried. After spending several trips riding in the backseat paying close attention; I'm still having trouble finding the exact culprit. Thanks for the help!
My VB 2025 Mav has developed an annoying little problem lately. When driving over moderate to rough roads, I hear a creak-type noise from the rear sliding window area. Its not very loud (hard-of-hearing wife can't hear it) but it's nonetheless annoying to yours truly. Dealer kept it for 3 days...
Maybe. The guy I spoke with said they didn't have access to a 2025 for development. One of their employees had a 22-24 Maverick they used previously, but they weren't so lucky now.
