Thanks for all the positive comments! Yes I am very very happy to be alive and safe and mostly unharmed. You are all correct, the truck did it’s job and I’m shocked how well it took the hit.
Agreed 100%. I’m ready for the battle when it comes to value and there will be some other compensation as well with having to miss work for the next few days and a visit to my doctor to make sure everything is ok. Not out to get rich I just want to make sure I’m able to replace the truck and not...
I honestly don’t remember, I think I hit the brakes first. It all happen so fast, and I watched it all happen. Remember hitting the brakes And then watching the hood crunch and feeling the entire truck off the ground before it came back down and shit went flying. Very grateful for the KNEE...
It’s totaled, I have no use for it. I’ll go to the tow yard and get my stuff out of it and the insurance company for the person at fault can do what they will with it. As soon as we agree on a number to pay me that is.
I’m sure I’ll have a battle on my hands when it comes to what value they want to give me for it when used ones are selling for $10-15k over sticker. I’ll be damn sure I get every penny of that.
As far as what is next, still not sure. I have a Fusion Titanium Hybrid to drive until I figure it out...
Yes I am ok just really sore. My wrist and hands are sore and my hands got pretty cut up. It also feels like Mike Tyson punched me right in the middle of my chest, and I’m sure it will feel worse tomorrow hahaha. Honestly shocked about how well it took the impact. Hitting a stopped (sideways)...
Well on the way home today a lady lost control and Spun out in the middle lane then shot in front of me, hit the wall and I had no choice but to hit them at 65mph. Heavy traffic and a wall on one side meant slam on the brakes and brace for impact. So bummed that I’m losing all the work I’ve put...
Just installed the RSE-165 in my doors this weekend and they are amazing! Even coming from the B&O system, this is a great upgrade. And you don't have to worry about an amp since the factory one runs the front speakers.
Correct, the "black" upgraded lariat wheels are just slightly more black than the regular ones but still have a lot of silver on them.
Also I think if you have a build date already you can't make any changes
Great install man! Did you leave the factory amp in there for the front speakers? I thought about upgrading the 6x9 with something better but this seems like a better option.
Dealers will get charged back for repairs that were done incorrectly. There are absolutely penalties that dealers get for not doing things correctly. Thinking that Ford pulls all the strings and dealers can do whatever they want with no consequences is pretty ignorant. I have worked in the...
If a dealership does a warranty repair and messes it up, the dealer is on the hook 100% of the time. If the recall or warranty repair was not correctly and didn't fix the issue then that is on Ford. I think that lawyer should stick to law and leave service departments alone lol.
Warranty work is free money for the service department, they are crazy not to want it in this market. NOW if they know parts aren't available for this repair and they have no more loaner cars available then MAYBE I could see them justifying not wanting to do the work but still, it's not a good...
To be far the "arm rest" is the nice padded part you actually put your arm on. What you have circled is just a grab handle to pull your door closed. It would be very awkward to sit and try and rest your arm on that (unless you are able to detach your arm from your body lol)
