I had it on my truck and it is great for the price. Getting any kind of PPF installed (professionally) costs tons more than this factory option. And yes it just covers the front leading edge of the hood and fenders, the area most likely to get hit with bugs and stones.

Where do you plan to cut it? The top of the uprights? Looks nice, are you installing a tent on top?

UPDATE: So they are taking my Mav to a Ford body shop (Actually the dealer where I bought it) to rip it apart to see what all is damaged that we can't see. The first estimate came back at $18,115 which was only 42% of the value but they need 65% to total it. So they want to get a true estimate...

Agreed, it’s a rough time to be a body shop. They have to consider loaner cost more than ever. If they think they can save the car but the person will be in a loaner for 4 months at $50 per day, that can total the car with that added to the repair cost. Sad times in the repair business.
