I was definitely not arguing it had no purpose. I was arguing that the specs are getting increasingly similar and speculated that at some point Ford may deem the the Ecoboost unnecessary and it may benefit them from a business standpoint to phase it out. Car manufacturers receive pollution...
Relax dude. I accidentally posted part of a response while replying to a different post. I deleted it as quickly as I could. You need to take a step back from the keyboard and take a deep breath.
I have an Ecoboost. I like it. My only point was that the advent of the Hybrid AWD makes the Ecoboost almost redundant. I don't think it's a bad thing. Had the AWD Hybrid been available when I was buying I would probably have one.
Since both are available, and with the same features now...
I'm also very confused by the folks who are worried about losing less than 5% total HP while losing no torque. The result will be impossible to notice and will impact nothing but theoretical top speed since the truck is speed limited anyway. This is a lot of whining over nothing that in any...
I honestly think it's a case of terrible brake and gas pedal placement. I am 50, have owned 30 cars, and can't remember ever having owned one with the gas pedal so far in front of the brake pedal? I have adjusted, and it's completely fine, but it's an oddly placed pedal.

Those are what I used. Brake pedal is very easy and the gas pedal took a bit more persuasion. But overall easy to put on. They...
Had the same problem with the gas pedal and solved it using some cheap slip on pedal covers from Amazon. Aluminum with rubber nubs - seems to help a lot.
My transmission behaves the same way when the truck is cold. It shuffles around and is annoying. Once warm it seems to go away. It is actually hard to say if it's the trans or the engine. Only ever used 93 octane and the truck on has 3200 miles since May.
Bike storage is the biggest complaint about the bed size.anothet 6 inches and mine would fit with wheels on...
I currently use a suction cup fork mount attached to the rear glass with the rear with in the bed or in a rear crossbar if I have the bed full.
Direct injection engines like the 2.0 Ecoboost will benefit from some kind of intake cleaner as they will have carbon buildup in the combustion chamber. In my old Jaguar I used BG44k every 5000 miles or so and the intake was very clean. I may do the same with the Ecoboost as the cost is pretty...
Whatever they did/do I hope for buyer's sake it's tuned better than the stock unit in the current trucks. It's a shuffling, confused mess under any kind of light throttle.
