Hood struts much most secure than a skinny temporary pole holding up any hood. My 2022 XLT Maverick and 2007 Mustang GT have had them on from beginning.
Two suggestion upgrades; hood struts (very functional) and fog lights (functional and looks). It is a great vehicle to customize the way you want it. Good luck!!
The paint they use for different color in liners comes from China. It is a "specialty paint". My installer told me this a while back. So if you want a colored bed liner, better get it in a hurry!!
I had the dealership install them before I picked it up (I ordered my Maverick on the opening day of availability), so the hood deflector and window guards are Ford.
The hood deflector is suppose to protect hood from rocks but I doubt it helps protect windshield. I have been fortunate to only have one small chip in windshield in over 3 years.
It has been a while since this was discussed but if you really want to protect the paint (especially if you have a vibrant color like atlas blue, eruption green, HPR or cyber orange) invest in a ceramic coating. After 38 months of owning my XLT, I still get compliments on the Cyber Orange color...
Love the color and the Mustang!! Awesome - I painted my brake calipers cobalt blue on my 22 Maverick cyber orange. The Grabber Orange on the fifth generation Mustangs is one of my favorites.
An eye doctor once told me yellow is the color eyes are most sensitive to - the reason they use it in caution & red lights. So, the Cyber Orange should never get hit (haha).
Ford must not want to sell the fog lights - none on any lot models?
