Logistics of designing, manufacturing, and distributing these new parts when there is already a long line of people waiting for them. Unfortunately this process can take some time. Considering the Maverick is a relatively new model, built on a relatively new chassis, there's always going to be...
Yes, we actually got a set in for a customers truck this week. Side by side you can tell they've changed the design at the outer cv joint. The housing is slightly different, looks to be beefed up a bit.
It definitely drains well lol, I can see the trail on the bezel below the tip. Also, there's a few pin holes in some of my welds that works as a drain to 😅
Different transmission, different axles. I don't know what Ford miffed on the hybrid axles, but we're hoping the updated part will be much better. I'll have to look at them side by side to see if their is a notable difference.
I have a customers Hybrid that has been waiting for axles for about 2-3 weeks now. My parts manager just let me know an updated set should be coming to us soon.
The ring does not support recessed hardware, they're just flat steel. I had some hardware packs sourced from HF that I used for the mounting. Just regular black allen head bolts with nylon lock nuts, I did use washers on the backside, but left them off the front for aesthetic purposes.
Just an update, letting everyone know the system has been holding up well after three months. I've had no issues with heat or melted plastic, so far everything has been as good as the day I installed it.
I used a Vulcan 110 flux welder from Harbor Freight (HF Welder). It's a nice little no nonsense welder, nothing special, but it get's the job done if you're only using it here and there.
Montana had a good explanation, it really all comes down to how you angle them and what kind of lighting you're using. I like the lights I got from HF because they're a combo. Forward LED's are spot pattern, very focused down range increasing overall visibility and range, there's also side...
It wasn't terrible. Getting that console down is a bit of a PITA, the clips are hard to release, I have yet to find the science to it. Other than that, a couple extensions on the harness I had to add to reach the over head. Other than that, just some trim pieces and wire management.
Hey all! I've been tweaking my auxiliary lighting setup and figured I'd share. Maybe put some ideas out there for anyone looking to do something similar. As of current, I've installed a pair of ditch lights as well as a switch panel in the overhead console. I went through two different sets of...
Thankyou for all the kind words! I'll try to address everyone's questions here.
I decided against the side exit under the skirt for clearance issues, my truck is lowered and I didn't want any bottoming out or scraping, high and tight is what we like!
I'm hoping that the ring will help with the...
I didn't know this was an issue? Haven't seen anything personally. I know the area around the factory exit on mine seemed a little hot, however with the exit clearing the bumper, I don't see it being an issue.
Hey all, just sharing my most recent modification. I've been wanting to do a bumper exit for a while, seen a few others took suite as well. Eliminated the resonator, used some off the shelf exhaust parts, as well as a nice pre-bent section for a 90 degree. Everything came out pretty good...
