Took my March 22 Hybrid to the dealer on Monday for service and updates. I gave them the TSB# (which they could not find til I supplied the info). They said it made no difference to the braking and unfortunately I have to agree. They wanted to schedule another appointment two days later to...
With my Maverick almost a week old and the day before the clear bra was to be installed a pickup just nicked the front bumper leaving a 3/4" long gouge in the bumper. $1200 to remove and repaint. I had the center grille bar painted body color at the same time
I did em myself. IIRC one hole needed to be drilled. I did not have an issue with paint damage. I would suggest that if a toaster is a challenge then get supervision on the install. The average cost should be in the range of a 6 pack for help.
Its NOT our job as owners to try to diagnose the issue and fix it. Its our job to accurately explain what we were doing and what the conditions were. Their job is to repair the issue. If you are having a MAJOR problem or failure then check your states laws regarding "Lemon Law" . This...
What part of the Maverick compares to the Muskmobile? Tesla costs $$$$$ Maverick costs $$, Tesla has a trunk Maverick has a cargo carrying bed. Tesla is Electric, Maverick is Hybrid and can "recharge" at ANY gas station.
Contact your dealer. To my understanding the airbags are either available for install on Mavericks on a delivery hold or will be released very shortly.
Most of the totaled Mavericks appear to be XL's. Also most lightly damaged totals appear to be 2.0 and not Hybrid. I wonder if that is due to the demand (and increased current value) or the scarcity of the hybrid.
On rear-end collisions if the Maverick has a hitch mount there is a...
Had a Rivian parked next to me today (no pics, phone at home) He looked my ride over as I looked his over. He mentioned that he ordered it back in 2018 and it was delivered June of this year! Be glad your not waiting 4 years for your Maverick......yet!
I don't know about your tire, but I did learn something about the Michelin tires on my 02 Hybrid Lariat. You can't buy the same tire at a tire dealer, it has to be ordered from Ford. Why you ask? Because the new tires supplied on the Maverick have LESS tread on them than the SAME Tire sold...
Any chance you could argue "defective repair" with the insurance company? It may force them to lean on the body shop to correct the errors. If the paint is that poor then how poor are the rest of the repairs or what damage did the shop miss?
I cancelled the extended warrantee on a new Ford pickup a few years ago. The refund (100%) was applied to the loan . I repuchased the plan a few months later online through Flood Ford.
AS a resident of CA for 67 years I can attest to owning at least 8 pickups and paying Calf commercial vehicle fees on all but the one that had a camper shell bolted to it. My sister had a pickup with a tonneau cover on it and passenger car plates. She removed the cover to load furniture in...
A pickup in CA is a "commertial" vehicle as in you can haul groceries or lumber etc in an open bed. It does not mean that the vehicle is owned by a business or for business purposes. Sometimes putting a bed cover or shell on the bed converts it to "passenger" plates. This law gets changed...
You guys are sharp. Its a 61 Metropolitan convertible. I don't like taking over 55 MPH for more than a very short sprint so towing was the best. The pickup in the background became a dining room for a &%#n rabbit that ate a wiring loom taking out the A/C, power windows, tail gate lock, radio...
I had an event that would have taken my car 1 1/2 hours of driving to get to OR 1 hour if I towed the car. I opted to use my Maverick as the tow vehicle and towed the car both ways. The pickup had plenty of power and I saw speeds up to 75 at times on the freeway. the milage did not take a...
