Tell your “stealer” in no uncertain terms to go FUCK HIMSELF. If he has any questions direct him my way and I’ll happily blow his ass up with litigated and settled case law that addressed this exact sort of presumptive attitude in Mercury v. XXXX where a manufacturer tried to force buyers to buy...
Sorry to hear about the deer strike and the loss of a new Maverick, but if you have the opportunity and are close enough, getting all the measurements possible would be a huge benefit to this community! Once I get back home from overseas I'll be in Murrells Inlet, SC. If the remains of the...
If anyone is really interested in hacking the cubby, some Saran Wrap and a good tight Bondo pack would produce an extremely accurate model from which dimensions could be produced and accessories could start flowing.
Any takers? This method would absolutely produce accurate dimensions without...
Outstanding! I'll run with the 75mm depth dimension at this point. As I've said elsewhere on this forum, I'm sitting in Kenya at the moment and have a lot of time on my hands, no truck yet, and a burning desire to shove a design up FOMOCO's A&&. It will most likely need a few tweeks in the...
Yeah, that's an empty promise from Ford at this point. The QR code scan reveals NOTHING on FITS slot dimensions. There are a bunch of us on this forum who have said screw FOMOCO and are measuring the slot and posting the dimensions ourselves. It's not proprietary once it's out 'in the wild'.
Send me some dimensions of your opener. I'm working on several ideas for that cubby - including a FITS slot that would serve as an attachment point for an unlimited array of attachments.
Would a flip down door to make the cubby into more than an open space be appealing? Working on a latching door with supports to turn the door into a small tray - just need several dimensions....
Please take a few minutes to measure the slot and the dash cubby and post those measurements here. There are a LOT of 3D makers with a LOT of great ideas and Ford hasn't seen fit to keep their 'promise' to release the design spec yet. Screw em', if we measure it for ourselves then so what if...
Won't need a CAD drawing. A good old-fashioned set of manual measurements using a caliper and folding rule will give us all we need. I have a Prusa 3D printer but no truck yet. Tell me who wins if I get the dimensions of the cubby and FITS slot. Not concerned in the slightest if Blue Oval is...
Forums are starting to pop up, like FITS Up Front to address this very issue. Screw FOMOCO. Once the measurements are posted they no longer hold the 'rights' and anything is fair game. Hey, the blue oval even said they encourage makers to do their own thing. Well, let's do it!
A good old fashioned vernier caliper will tell you the exact dimensions. Ford may not be too forthcoming with the dimensions, but once anyone on this board has a truck and measures the slot, it's pretty much a moot point.
Can you send me dimensions of the cubby? I'm still waiting on my Maverick to be built and am sitting in Kenya at the moment with time on my hands in the evenings and my design laptop on the desk here. I have some ideas but need to know the (h & w) dimensions of the cubby all the way at the back...
