I'm positive I read that there was gonna be no price protection on 2024 Mav orders... can't remember if it was the same for 2023s. I'd assume so, since even 2022 rollovers weren't "price protected" we just got a voucher to make up for the difference.
As for me, I'm hitting 42-43 in mixed driving. Peaked at 53 in what was probably ideal driving.
Range estimate @ pickup with <15miles on odometer was 350. I had put 150 miles on the thing before the range estimate stopped going up (~405miles range) and started ticking back down.
Lol, Wow... they must just start stupid low and raise it up... Checked with Vroom and they say $26k for my brand new 23' XLT Lux hybrid with <100 miles.
Not in 25 years... but that was a work truck that spent its life driving on gravel and dirt and at least a five years old; so maybe the shocks were a bit softened? Oh and I guess I drove an E350 for about five miles last year... but it was a '79 that was held together with spit and duct tape and...
Issues with 100 miles driven:
Shocks are STIFF. I feel EVERY little pebble on the road.
No rear wiper or defroster (Did not notice this until I sat in it... May prove to not be a problem... but I'm a little worried).
Otherwise, nothing to report... yet.
My dealer said SIBL is the biggest holdup for the orders they are still waiting on... which I was shocked by; I assumed it was hybrid engine at this point... but that's what they said.
If it discourages one buyer who planned to resell from doing so and they instead cancel their preorder and the dealer can sell for a few thousand $ markup... it was already worth it. Highly doubt they'd ever follow through, but it's a VERY cheap way to MAYBE get a few extra "Customer abandoned"...
So out of curiosity (no interest in actually selling); I figured I'd feed my brand new hybrid Mav into Carvana to see how much they think it's worth... get an idea if they're still going for ridiculously over msrp...
And their automated site said they can't price it. "You've Stumped us". I'm...
Picked it up from Fred Beans in West Chester. Very happy with my salesman Tim Balch. No funny business. I Extended the warranty to 7 years plus 5 years paint, interior, glass, fobs and tires with no deductible… but they were up front about it and wasn’t required. The doc fee was $500 if I...
On the tenth, dealer showed it as now on the 14th... Scared to ask again.
Ford tracker (~2 week range online guess) has been pushing it by three days every three days and it's now been pushed 9 times... 27 days added from original delivery estimate. Showing 3/11-3/25 now.
So, every 3 days ford is pushing the estimated arrival range by another 3 days (Currently 2/23-3/16) so I emailed my dealer to see if they have any more details... Their system shows it's arriving tomorrow... So if their system is correct... I WONT make the 550 club... 547 days if I get it...
I already preordered a Canoe. Assuming they don't go bankrupt, I may actually get my EV truck... unlike with Ford or Tesla... and Rivian (And really Ford too) priced themselves out of my budget with the price hikes ($94k at a minimum to get the bigger battery Rivian).
I don't care what my truck...
They "scheduled" almost all the 2 year old '22 rollovers in Jan/Feb.... way more than they had any chance of building... so now they're treading water until they actually build those.
I mean hell, if I worked for the dealership and it was sitting that long... I'd get the paperwork together and call the shipper and go down there and pick it up myself. That's ridiculous.
