  1. Hybrid engine performance question

I was a Ford line mechanic in the early 1970s. Thanks to improvements in engine technology and performance made in the last 50 years, you don’t have to change points, plugs and condenser every 12,000 miles. Be thankful that 4 cylinder vehicles today make more than 90 HP and can pass on a 2 lane...
  2. Cheapest tonneau cover for Maverick?

Considering that there is an initial demand of 100,000+ orders for the Maverick, I can see the demand increase once the trucks get delivered. With that the owners will go shopping to accessorize their trucks. It is still early to buy accessories. The aftermarket vendors will be cranking up...
  3. Bad news on aftermarket wheels / tires / etc

I think the Lariat wheels have a great design!
  4. Bad news on aftermarket wheels / tires / etc

    Thanks for the video! 👍
  5. Aftermarket fender flares?

Yes! I saw these Air Design flairs. They look good and really compliment the looks of the vehicle by adding more black body trim between the bumpers. HOWEVER, the pricing is INSANE for stick on molding! I will wait for what the aftermarket vendors offer.
  6. Truth about Hybrid Maverick orders - not delayed says Maverick team

I called my dealer this morning. There still has been no order number issued for my Hybrid order. I can’t change to EB because I need a Hybrid in order to flat tow my Maverick. Patience, patience, patience!!!
  7. Where my Cajuns at?! Louisiana Mavs

I bought my 2020 F150 King Ranch new from All Star last October. Got a great deal from them. I went to Superior Ford, Zachary to order the Maverick because they have an excellent service department (In spite of Covid).
  8. Where my Cajuns at?! Louisiana Mavs

I would like to see it also if you have to come back to the Denham Springs dealer for any reason.
  9. Fun Maverick Colors

    I like it!
  10. Fun Maverick Colors

    Gold anyone?
  11. What features are missing?

I plan to install fog lights on mine at the time I install the front tow bar base plate. I spoke to Roadmaster this morning about a tow bar kit for flat towing. The design will try not to cut holes in the lower bumper, but rather have the tow bar base plate mounts protrude through the openings...
  12. RAPID RED Maverick Photos Thread

The blue trim would not be my choice with the Rapid Red exterior. However, I can live with it because of the overall Lariat interior trim is very appealing.
  13. Maverick Hybrid - POV Video - Pure Driving & Sounds

I agree! It was difficult to listen to the narrative without constantly chuckling!
  14. Maverick Hybrid - POV Video - Pure Driving & Sounds

👍👍👍👍👍 Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. By far it is the best video I have seen presenting the Hybrid for a review to evaluate. The other videos where the narrator goes on “ad nauseum“ are driving me nuts. This video is perfect for giving me a description of the vehicle...
  15. Travel trailers for the hybrid

This is a good idea. Try putting a platform on a small, one axle boat trailer that you can set up a tent on. Put your gear in the bed of the truck. Overflow gear can be carried on the trailer platform to stabilize the load. By lowering any wind resistance will be safer for towing. If you are not...
  16. FX4 tow hook install on NON FX4 Package Maverick - doesn't fit [VIDEO]

I stand corrected, the correct term is a sub-frame member. However, there has to be a structure present to support the engine/transmission assembly, steering linkages, radiator support, front struts and suspension, and the front impact bumper. Yes, there is no body on frame like the F-150 and...
  17. Tradesmen tricking out their mavericks

That would be real interesting to see if one could be made that would be light enough to be loaded by hand by two people. The aerodynamics alone would kill the MPG’s. It will take creative thinking and designing to keep the total payload under 1500# and still allow for passengers and equipment...
  18. The Mustang of the 21st Century - Cars.com Maverick Review

I was 12 years old when the 1964 1/2 Mustang hit the dealerships. At $2398 it was $30 more than a comparable Ford Falcon. However, it was much more appealing so it sold very briskly with a MY1965 production number built at 560,000 units. Unlikely Ford will produce those same numbers but the...
