Has this been tested enough to where you feel comfortable showing us how you did it?
Secondly, what have you noticed (or data you've collected) in terms of passive energy drain?
It's intended to be a DIY switch panel. Some of the upper trims have an additional bed light there or 120VAC outlet. For all trims, it's supposed to be used for people to easily drill or make switch cutouts to operate accessories connected to the dedicated 12v aux power line...
@Dmat @OXHB619 Do you think it's possible to replace the socket for the turn signal to get away from the 4257 and back to 3157 or 4157? It seems like the 4257 is mainly only for the newer trucks in the US market so they're harder to source.
I haven't figured it out yet but I was able to change the audio output from speakers to the dash (the ones usually used for the blinkers). It's a lot softer and less annoying.
If the lights are in the "off" position, then they will default to the auto setting. If they are set to on or position, then they'll stay on when the truck is off.
That's assuming that you adjusted them via the dial. That might not apply if you've turned autolamps off in Forscan, I don't know...
This might sound silly but I swear it's legit: it might be worth unplugging fuse #3 and see if anything breaks/doesn't work. I'm curious if they just put a fuse there to either make it easier for manufacturing or to make it less likely for people to tap into it.
That's what I currently have, but it requires access to turn on/off so I can't put it inside of the console. I guess what I'm looking for is one that can be switched (externally), has an automatic switch (turns on when something is plugged in), or always on.
Side note, what color is the stock trim/ambient light? It's lighter than icy blue and more blue than sea green. I've been trying to find the best color LED strips to match to install in the bed.
Has anyone found an inverter that fits into that space so you can add a 120VAC outlet?
I wonder if you could use the existing cigarette lighter wiring or if you'd have to add another to handle the increased power output.
Note: I believe these are now discontinued at Costco. Others are available from WeatherTech's website but feature a more aggressive style (better at holding water/mud) and are slightly more expensive.
Power Point Timeout (True/False) and time (seconds). It seems to work much more reliably with the EcoBoost, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't with the hybrid.
Hi all, thank you for your patience. I got it working again but I honestly could use some help processing the Forscan data. I changed a number of fields across all the modules and something worked. Here's what I discovered (from high level to interesting details):
The edit is INDEPENDENT of the...
1. Double check that your Maverick has the most recent software
2. If that doesn't work, go to the factory and have them check for updates regarding the BCM. I swear that some of those options weren't available until after they updated the Maverick at the dealership.
