the trouble is on something like the Maverick it would cause more harm then good in a collision,a few sheet metal attachment point is not very sturdy the front ends should be made of urethane or some thick resilient substance and for petes sake bring back glass headlights.

the most important thing to do to protect your engine( block heaters work great) is to disable the automatic engine shut off when at a stop a good gearhead can accomplish this with a laptop,i dont think i would even use the 0 weight,this engine stop feature gives your engine too many zero oil...
I am wondering if you have modified your trucks front end and it kills someone are you liable? it seems a lot effort has been put into modern vehicles to protect pedestrains.
