That’s what I assumed as well, but they don’t go all the way down to where they normally park when you turn them off, just a little bit further. Perhaps this is “normal” operation.
I have been dealing with the skipping/jerking wiper issue now since I bought my truck. I am starting to see it cropping up on many other people’s trucks too and hoping we could discuss what could be causing it.
What I'm referring to is only when the wipers are on intermittent mode, when they...
Was doing other stuff under the hood of the truck and noticed a puddle of what appears to be transmission fluid on top of the transmission or PTU. It is to the left of the airbox between it and the engine, just below the airbox. I included pictures for reference.
I plan on calling the dealer...
Good luck! Maybe more successful repairs and this will get on @Ford Motor Company’s radar or the dealers will be more capable. I know from at least one other user on here that a new wiper motor fixed their issue.
Sure here is mine, there are videos from other drivers similar that I have, just didn’t want to post those without credit. (Sorry for taking a video while driving, I know it’s a bad idea!)
I pulled up service data for the wiper motor replacement and it seems very simple and the motor is not too...
I have this exact same issue with my wipers and two different dealers are saying they “can’t replicate” the issue despite it happening every time and me showing them video of it. I’m about to just replace the wiper motor myself to stop this super annoying problem. My Mav has been great other...
This one is kind of puzzling to me and the dealer said they couldn’t replicate it so thought I’d ask here.
I have about 8,800 miles on my Maverick, and noticed recently that when I brake from around 45 mph, I get some vibration noticeable in the steering wheel. What’s really strange to me is...
I have an iconic silver Maverick with those exact wheels that I use for winter tires. I think they look great, and I felt like the wheel style looked similar to some factory Ford designs so it matches well.
Noticed today that the truck turns recirc. Off when you restart it if the system is left on Auto. Might just use Max A/C and manually adjust fan speed. I will say the A/C works well, it’s not too hot here yet but it mops the floor with my previous car (Subaru). That plus having cloth seats makes...
This will be my first summer with the Maverick, and curious what everyone does for A/C settings. In the winter I left it on full auto 70 degrees and it worked great. Do you set a temp and do full auto or set it manually? I noticed that in auto it doesn’t do recirculate and you have to manually...
Almost 6 months in and this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I am very happy I waited. I’ve always liked trucks but never could justify owning one since my needs are very modest so when the Maverick came out it was perfect. I was originally going to buy a more expensive vehicle but was...
I was happy to see the Maverick has a service mode without a scan tool so you can DIY rear brakes. Always annoying with some other brands that you can’t do rear brakes without a scan tool or a hack workaround.
That is interesting, I am pretty sure the front calipers don’t have any parking brake mechanism. Perhaps the traction/stability control engages the front brakes too?
I believe there is an electric motor mounted to each rear caliper which rotates the caliper piston to engage. Like the other spin-in type rear calipers but with a motor to engage vs. a cable.
Just in case this helps someone else, I ended up purchasing these and they worked well. Not black and not torx but the low profile head was the right size.

Mine was a 2012. Good little car. Low power + skinny tires is a great combo for the snow. Manual transmission was helpful too. That car went anywhere I wanted to and we get LOTS of snow where I live.
I experienced my first snow in my AWD Maverick, however I have Blizzak WS90s for winter use. I also used slippery mode and I was extremely pleased with the performance. I came from a Subaru (also with winter tires) and to be honest I prefer the Maverick.
That being said, as others have pointed...
