    I wouldn't expect it to have a negative effect on the 12V battery. I'm more concerned about the discharge and possible effect on the life of the High Voltage Battery.

    Thanks. I found that sticker and plug when I did my recent oil change.

    I saw that "plug". Looks like transmission fluid is both checked and filled by removing that plug. A bit of a pain if you just want to keep an eye on fluid levels (unlike the old A/T dipsticks).

    Here's a photo of my "skid plate". It would appear that there should be a cover of some sort attached to the larger hole.

    I had I had a Ford Ranger 6 cyl. for 15 years and never deviated more than about 2 mpg. per fuel tank over that time.

    My fuel economy was consistently 40-42 mpg per tankful. Until the weather changed.... One recent period of sub-20 ° temps yielded a tankful at 33 mpg. I had no idea how much cooler temps would reduce my mpg. 2024 Hybrid.
