This has been my experience. I keep it on auto low and sometimes thats too cold at 72 degrees. Can't wait for the hot summer months. It'll be nice to cool off. EDIT: Same on the touchscreen. I've had my unit freeze up twice recently after only two months of ownership.

Yes, the instructions specifically have the torque values. Super low so I just hand tightened them.

If the installer is a professional, he/she/they will check the parts list and verify all parts are there before starting the job. In fact, I believe that is one of the first things the instructions state. Except the instructions are not in the box, have to scan a QR code to get the link. I bet...

I've thought of doing the silicone thing. All the water on the roof comes down and hits that area.
