I'm curious if you're using a paper or oil type air filter also. If it's oil type maybe you used too much oil on the filter. Just a thought. I've got a upr also but only have a few hundred miles on it, but I had one on my f150 and never had an orange substance.

Damn! They're not big but they're everywhere. Like others have said, I'd replace the hood, pdr the roof and sides. Be careful of the fly by night pdr techs that come into town when a hail storm hits. Try to find someone established in town. Good luck.
