  1. How Quickly Will The 2023 Maverick Sell Out

My dad and Grandpa are ordering one the day that ordering opens. My brother-in-law is likely to as well. They are going to sell out very quickly.
  2. Is anyone here NOT enjoying their 2.0?

I endorse this comment. I had a Ford CMax hybrid prior to getting my EB, AWD with 4k tow package. My Maverick gets a lot of love for fitting my current lifestyle but as far as my preferred powertrain goes, if I didn't need to be able to tow, the hybrid would easily win. In the conditions...
  3. Mileage with A/C on

There is something else going on here. I have been driving around on the highway (@62 Mph where I live) with the AC on and get over 35 mpg. I have an ecoboost AWD with the 4k tow package. As far as city driving goes, I don't use my AC around town so I can't comment there.
  4. Real world fuel mileage MPG results by 2.0 EcoBoost owners - check in here

I wouldn't even call it hypermiling. Like you said, FULL boost might hit at 2,000 RPM but there is actually a decent amount of torque between 1,500 and 2,000 RPM. I don't do any of the tricks like popping the transmission into neutral, speeding up and coasting down or airing up my tires to...
  5. Real world fuel mileage MPG results by 2.0 EcoBoost owners - check in here

I have a Ecoboost AWD with the 4K tow package. I leave auto stop/start on and when I drive on the highway I run it in ECO mode. Because I owned a hybrid before these are my driving habits: *When I accelerate, I try to keep the RPM's under 2k - I am cognizant of those around me and don't do...
  6. Front Door Needs a Good Slam to Shut

I had this issue when I first got my Maverick. After about 4k miles, it seems to have gone away - so you should be good.
  7. What's everyone think about the ECVT? Can't make up my mind between Eco or -hybrid

I used to own a Ford CMax hybrid with a CVT that is the predecessor to the one in the Maverick. Now I need to be able to tow 4,000 lbs so I own an EcoBoost Maverick. If you don't need to tow or have AWD, I would take the hybrid Maverick all day long. The CVT in my CMax had superior driving...
  8. Simple and Convenient Kayak Carrying Solution

Part of the reason I bought my Maverick is I wanted to be able to quickly and conveniently transport kayaks. I didn't want an expensive or complex setup for my kayaks that would make it difficult to throw them on the truck and get out to the river on a whim. I have seen a huge variety of...
  9. Car and Driver: Ford Maverick Hybrid Misses Its MPG Estimates, but We're Not Surprised

This is exactly my thoughts. Ford didn't rate their vehicle on Car and Driver's standards. They rated on the required government standards. They didn't miss the mark on the required government standards because, as many will recall, the government recently spotted checked Ford on their fuel...
  10. FordPass Journeys

I had the same trouble and can tell you what to do. In addition to the above, with the base level system Journeys doesn't function properly when CarPlay is enabled. First, you need to go into the menus on the truck (I will try to find the exact location in the menus later) and turn off the...
  11. Call me Maverick Man

I love it up here. Actually moved here from Chicago because I had to get away. Funny enough, but moving out of the city is the primary reason I wanted a Maverick because I plan to have more adventures now.
  12. Call me Maverick Man

:ROFLMAO: I can live with that... I have to admit that your Maverick is pretty sweet!
  13. Call me Maverick Man

I wish... It would probably be a little more chilled out than a career in IT
  14. Call me Maverick Man

I am in the UP, watching over the mighty gauntlet
  15. Call me Maverick Man

The funny part about this overly-dramatized story of mine is that all of those interactions from different people actually happened.
  16. Call me Maverick Man

Call me Maverick. Ever since I got my new truck, my life has changed forever. Hopping out of the driver's seat in my Levi leather jack, hair elegantly disheveled, I approach the stately old building where I work. Suddenly I am stopped by an authoritative official saying, "Congratulations on...
  17. Changing default drive mode

This may be way off but Normal mode is the left-most drive mode in the display cluster and the truck always defaults to that mode... I wonder if there is a way to move the eco mode into that left-most slot using forscan and, if you did, I wonder if it would default to that.
  18. New CVT on the way?

I second this statement. I drove a Ford CMax for 6 years before getting an Ecoboost Maverick, due to lifestyle changes... The CMax's transmission was hands down smoother and more responsive than the Maverick's 8-speed. That car couldn't tow 4,000 lbs like my Maverick Ecoboost though.
  19. Audio Quality Over Cable Versus Bluetooth

Since I got my Maverick, I have been mostly listening to music over a usb cable to my iPhone so I could track my trips using "Journeys" in FordPass. I have been surprised about how good the audio quality has been versus what people prepared me for. Over the wire, audio has always been clear...
  20. Odd, Recurring Question About Maverick - Is It An Electric?

I think you are right but I am not sure that is what people mean when they ask if it is electric. Really, my guess is that all of the above comments are correct to some extent. What is interesting to me is what it means to Ford. I think Ford might be winning in marketing and perception right...
