Well there it is, You see those springs in that dampener. That is the key to what i was feeling - I said it was electrical in nature like a harmonic. That spring assembly is exactly what's needed to create a harmonic upon engagement. I bet the electric motor-generator feels the...
Hi
Hey MDRN, You know I'm glad you mentioned that because I have felt that as well. IT's not the same but I wonder if they are connected. It's the same type of oscillation as when braking - deceleration after a slight uphill and the engine cuts off. So when sitting with foot on the...
Yes very interesting.
If others are correctly assessing that they get vibration on Acceleration as well as deceleration - that's quite interesting. That puts me in agreement with the damper.
Someday someone will get a fix and we will know what's going on. And I agree it's an annoyance. I'm...
That was my experience. I only noticed it at 4000 miles. Was perfect when new. And that is the mystery. This is why a mechanical answer seems most correct - like a warn bushing or damper. But at 4k miles that seems impossible ( wear) I mean ford tested these trucks for a long time...
What you have outlined as the damper makes a lot of intuitive sense. A mechanical answer to the problem that would fit the kind of vibration we are experiencing. My doubt lies in this - the way I baby the vehicle, the 43-50 MPG I get regularly, tells me that there's still great efficiency...
Okay on the damper- I will be interested if that is it
I have a different diagnosis. I believe the electric motor generator begins to resonate.. as the motor oscillates it changes the output voltage which is picked up by a sensor and trans tries to compensate - thus the harmonic ringing of the...
My truck vibrates upon DECELERATION only. for example this is where I always experience the issue: I am gently accelerating up a slight grade. I get to the top and gently hit the brakes to take a left turn. The ICE shuts down - the Electric regen brakes kick in and I get a powerful...
I just took a long road trip. The shudder was happening as others say when I lift my foot off the gas and regen starts. I tried all different modes. No different. I did not have this problem till 4000 Miles. Now it's fairly often 50% of the time. And getting worse. Also I noticed the...
Hi all
My Hybrid XLT Mav has recently started to shudder when I accelerate then take my foot off the gas. The truck shifts to Electric and during that transition I feel a Shudder. Sometimes it's fairly strong, like when you drive over speed caution strips. Other times it's light but...
I agree. This is not normal. I think under inflated. This is not wear this is where the tire split open and pulled apart.
This tire didn't wear out it failed. Why did it fail?
Yep on the highway, basically the same physics - same weight same aero drag. I got 43 MPG on my trip from NY to Boston 230 miles ( went way out west through RT87 and Mass TPK basically 65 mph on average. Not much better than you. But in the city the Hybrid Maverick blows me away. I...
I haven't purchased the tires yet. Maybe someone on the thread can offer a review for you - I will once I get them. But I've don't a lot of research -- these are a really great road/winter/rain tire
There is no torque converter in the Hybrid.
This is still happening to us all -me included, 3 times this week - same conditions. I expect Ford should have a fix soon, I'm beginning to think this is a more serious issue and having a hard time fixing the issue.
Guys I don't know where that came from, but please keep on-focus. - I love my Hybrid still and even though there are recalls, I don't care. It's a great truck.
