About to hit 2500 miles here, and am doing the first change this weekend. Probably will do every 4000 after that. I drive 90% highway. If it were more city driving would probably do every 3000.
I'd be interested in seeing exactly what parameters they used in assigning the peak torque value to the 8-speed. Seems kind of bizarre to assign a peak torque figure, and then ignore it and attach it to a motor with substantially more torque. Especially when it's going to be used for towing...
I think things like memory seats and 100% LED brake/turn lights are left off to entice you to step up to the Ranger. With the Ranger you can't get vent seats on the highest trims, so move up to the F-150 if you want that, etc. I'm sure there's been a lot of arguing and debating about what...
Was originally leaning towards XLT with lux and 4k package. Then after seeing how much more you get for just another 3K it was more than worth it. The same features on a new F-150 would have you north of 60k.
Very impressive. Would love to see them do a comparison between the old 2.0 (22-24) vs a '25 MPC 2.0. Also would be interesting to run a lobo with the 7 speed against a non-lobo '25 2.0.
A bit over 1500 miles now on my 25 Lariat. The mpg average for that whole time is 29.8 with mostly highway driving. No bed cover neither so am pretty happy with mileage so far. AC has been on near 100% of the time as well.
This whole CV fiasco is just sad. If this was happening to the Santa Cruz that would not be as surprising. How many years now has Ford been building trucks? You'd think they'd know how to properly engineer a reliable suspension system at this point lol.
On the LM site the price has gone up exactly $1000 more than my job 3 Lariat that was just built in early July with the same options. And of course the 2026 won't have the charging pad and auto up/down windows. Maybe the 2027 will take away the B&O or LED projectors lol.
Wow, it's a shame they removed the wireless charging pad. Nice to have since android auto drains the phone pretty quickly on long trips.
Sounds like the one touch up/down has been removed from some of the windows as well on the Lariat.
Never drove the older version of the 2.0, but the 2025 version seems pretty quiet to me overall. At certain RPMs during acceleration I can hear the turbo. To me it sounds like ssssssssssssss lol. Best way I can describe it.
Been pretty happy with the space white. There's several great colors to choose from, but there's something about SW that gives it a unique look. Often get comments and questions about what color it is. I had someone outside a restaurant say she thought it was almost perrywinkle in color lol...
Finally remembered to look underneath to see if there was a GPF in place. As expected no filter (non-CARB state) was visible. Build date was July 5th. This was one of the first build weeks for job 3.
Snapped a few pics. I believe if there was a GPF it would be right after that 2nd cat...
