You have a hybrid so it is possible to install a 2000W inverter. I added an outlet in my bed for it (though I had a 400W plug back there already, I printed a new faceplate).
See this thread: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/2000-watt-removable-inverter-installation.44646/page-7...
I mean, is your decision really going to be based on not being able to find one immediately? Are hybrids so rare in your area?
I was able to find this XLT Hybrid AWD w/ Lux (the exact options I wanted, and nothing more) in my favorite color just sitting on a dealer lot 20 minutes from my house...
Let me preface this with some context: I have a Mongoose OBD-II cable, so I figured I might use FDRS to apply the ACCM update.
(I don't actually experience any deep sleep issues on my '25 Hybrid at the moment).
I opened it up, and noticed that there was a "service history" tab with a list of...
I love the āhybrid experienceā⦠I donāt really ever have somewhere where I want to āfloor itā and use the full power of my engine.
Instead, maximizing fuel economy becomes a fun game to pass the time :P
Idling is another cool one (literally)⦠can sit there with the engine off but the electric...
Here is the current iteration of my solution. Used a 3D printed mounting bracket in the FITS slot to hold up the inverter, and a 3D printed faceplate with a socket meant for a generator.
Used a 20amp extension cord with both ends cut off, routed to the bed.
I actually left the original bed...
Has anyone messed about with additional drive modes on the 2025 MY?
Wondering if it would be possible to get some of the more interesting modes on the AWD hybrid.
I tried enabling basically all of the numbered modes in EZ mode using Forscan, but only #9 did anything (Lobo mode).
I haven't yet...
Is it possible to apply this update manually with ForScan? Iāve got a 2025 Hybrid built 01/2025;
I checked and itās not offered via the OTA updates page (last update was a TCU update in April)
Does anyone know if it would be possible to use the F150 ProPower bed outlet panel in the Maverick?
I assume it is too big, without cutting?
EDIT:
Found the part numbers. Indeed, the F150 panel is significantly widerā¦
F150 Panel...
Well, I did it!
Discovered that there were a bunch of brackets behind the seat, and I was feeling lazy, so I just put it beneath.
The positive wire is under specād because the proper fuse holder I ordered hasnāt arrived yet, so thatās gauge 4 wire with a gauge 4 fuse holder I had from some old...
ICE idle speed is not applicable for the hybridā that is strictly relevant for vehicles that use an alternator (i.e. EcoBoost)
On the hybrid, you have the full capacity of the DC/DC as long as the HVB is charged.
And since the generator motor is capable of much more than the DC/DC can...
I see. Iād prefer to be on the other side of that fuse, but I guess as long as I add my own 200A fuse to protect the battery it should be fineā¦
I assume that the 4000W surge rating is with internal capacitors in the inverter, and that it wonāt actually try to draw potentially 300A?
Spec sheet...
Anyone have any good ideas for tying it to the run/start relay? I assume that the run/start relay itself isn't rated for directly pulling 200A (plus it would be a pain to run heavy gauge wire from)...
I guess I could probably put some kind of microcontroller that monitored the relay state (and...
yeah, Iām slightly worried about heat dissipation as wellā¦
but I figure whenever Iām running a heavy load I can just put the seat down and leave the windows cracked.
mounting it mostly for convenience and so I donāt lose my under-seat storage lol
I'm thinking about doing this on my 2025 XLT, mounting the inverter permanently behind the seat. Any further advice? Has the Renogy 2000W inverter been holding up nicely?
If it gets bad enough, youāll be able to tellā¦
My ā06 Canyon got āyellow sludgeā buildup under the oil cap; It was apparently condensation from taking very short trips in the winter. Went away when I started taking longer trips.
