A number of Mavericks subject to recall have been sold. So someone who already has a Maverick subject to recall brings it in for inspection and the service department finds that the tank is should be replaced. The owner will have to leave the truck parked at the dealership until February?
Replacing only tanks with actual holes makes no sense. Neither Ford nor the Feds would allow tanks with holes extending part way through their walls to be left in place. If there is discernible damage, they should and presumably are, being replaced. Most of the damaged tanks won’t cause the...
Mine was checked today. Tank was damaged but the tank wall was not actually penetrated. Has to be replaced. Don’t know how long to get replacement tank. So tanks can be damaged enough to require replacement with no light or smell.
Concerns me too. My order sat on a lot for close to two months. If the fuel tank has holes and they are located directly under the bed drain holes, did my tank accumulate water? What damage would that cause?
My order arrived at dealership today. Had been on hold at Petersburg VA since early November. Has fuel tank issue so it will have to be inspected and repaired if necessary before I can pick it up. Does not show up in the recall system. Only learned today that the fuel tank was the reason for the...

My order was delivered today from Petersburg. Was still on hold until yesterday afternoon. History almost identical to yours. Can’t pick it up until gas tank inspection is done, probably early next week - IF the tank is ok. Does not have seat belt issue. Maybe yours will arrive soon.
Mine was built 10/7, shipped 10/9 to Petersburg. ETA updated today from 12/25 to 13/30. United Road says it has a Ford “Hold“. My dealer can’t find any Stop Ship or Recall. I will have him search 21c35 and 36. Your info could be very helpful to me. Thanks!
Maybe this is what’s keeping my order in VA. Build completed onOxtober 8.
Ford has issued a delivery hold due to Compliance Recall 21C36[Rear Seat Belt Anchor Thread Repair].
On January 3, 2022 dealers will receive a complete Dealer Bulletin which will provide parts ordering information and...
I am in the same situation. Same date, changed multiple times. United Road Services says there is a Ford hold on the truck and they cant touch it until the hold is lifted. Dealer doesn’t see any hold. I am hoping the recall is what is keeping the vehicle In VA. If so, there is some hope of...
You can sign up to United Road Service OVISS and see all the vehicles shipped from POE to your dealer and see if anything is happening to your particular vehicle. You will probably have to sign up by cell phone, not pc or ipad But once signed up, anything will work. Anyway, Leith Wendell has...

According to United Road Services (operates the lot in Poe VA) the number of parked vehicles continues to increase. The chip shortage has not been alleviated.
I’m not certain of anything. News articles say that remote lots are filling up with cars awaiting chips. That being the case, it is the most likely cause. Here is an example from Car and Driver: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a37050732/ford-dealerships-chip-supply-shortage/
There are many more.
Based on automotive news articles, it is looking more and more likely that the trucks at Poe and other lots around the country are awaiting chips. To keep the assembly line running as smoothly as possible, Ford sends chips first to production and if any are left, puts them in built vehicles...
Well said. Those parking lots are spread all over the country. My built Mav has been sitting on a lot outside Petersburg VA, along with others, since Nov 4 with no relief in sight. Those of you with vehicles still in Mexico, regardless of build status, will probably receive your trucks before us...
