  1. Trans/RDU/PTU service costs

No, you definitely don't need to buy a new drain plug. You can safely reuse the factory plug. Just clean the factory plug, inspect the rubber seal, torque it back to spec, and you are good to go. Save that $700!
  2. What Made You Choose the Maverick Over Other Trucks?

Hey, don't curse me like that! Next thing you know I'll be driving a Power Wheels in the backyard. 😂 Keeping the Tremor, it's too much fun.
  3. Adventures in Touch-Up Paint: Ruby Red Tricoat Edition

Nice! You will have a much easier time with them. Those micro brushes are the key to keeping the paint thin so it doesn't get lumpy. Good luck!
  4. Adventures in Touch-Up Paint: Ruby Red Tricoat Edition

Tri-coats are notoriously hard to match. Here is the reality: You have to blend: You can't just spray a hood off the vehicle. You have to blend into the adjacent panels at an absolute minimum to hide the transition. Get it matched in person: Any local automotive paint supply shop can color...
  5. [Quick Survey] If you were designing the perfect windshield wiper for your truck, what would you improve first?

Here is what Ai told me and I agree  :teehee: No frame freezing (Beam Style only): Traditional bracket wipers freeze up into a rigid U-shape the second freezing rain hits. A perfect wiper needs to be a solid rubber beam style so ice has nowhere to hide and clog up the hinges. Zero...

  8. What Made You Choose the Maverick Over Other Trucks?

I came from F-350 F-250 then F-150s, and my last truck was a 2020 Ford Ranger. Honestly, I realized I didn't need the footprint of a full-size or even a midsize truck anymore. The Maverick hit the sweet spot for me by providing the right balance of power, price and fuel economy for my daily...
  9. My Maverick Progression

Your 3rd Mav!? WoW Nice #TREMOR! :inlove:
  10. Trans/RDU/PTU service costs

Nice, I would go Rock Auto for sure then! Based on my research, checking the factory spec sheets, and talking to a local Ford dealer, you don't need a second bottle for the rear diff. 1 bottle of each gear oil is plenty. I’ve seen a ton of conflicting information online about the fluid amounts...

Mine is the same way. Was thinking the same the other day when I changed my wiper blades.
  14. Recommend to me a quality tire pressure gauge?

Highly recommend the Intercomp Racing Ultra Deluxe Gauge (Part # 360060). I’ve owned one for more than 20 years. It’s absolutely heavy-duty and incredibly accurate. It runs right around $99.95, but it's a "buy it once for life" kind of tool. The 4" giant glow face is incredibly easy to read...
  15. The robots are officially coming for tire shop jobs... 🤖🚗

Saw this video of a fully automated robotic tire changing system it's pretty wild to see. It completely strips the old rubber and mounts the new tire without a human touching a single lug nut or tire iron. Imagine rolling into Discount Tire or Costco and this thing does the swap in 60 seconds...
  16. Anyone using a radar detector in their Maverick?

Thanks for the link! I was looking for an inexpensive mount and it looks like the one you have they make one for the Uniden R4W series as well.
