nothing. though i wish i was
why are you comparing high trims on a vehicle that's starting price was $19,995? i did not say that high trims are the same pricing. my point was... the most expensive, higher trimmed mavericks are getting to the pricing of base trim 1/2 ton trucks, making it...
but nobody has actual pics or fitments etc. in video or anything. So... it's almost like its a pipe dream.
if you can find that link, let me know... because i returned the 463xf's i intended on using. likely just going to a infinity 4" model instead.
You said you have new panels... where did these come from? I am seeing $120+/panel.. and I'm not super willing to pay that. Going to go with a 4" speaker, so hoping someone on here might wanna trade my cut panels for stock ones + a little cash on top on my end.
This is exactly what the XL was supposed to be. Dealers marked up big $$$ for years, people stupidly paid it, and now the base is $26,300+ and not a hybrid.
Update - they're just too thick. You could probably get away with the 463xf in the rear without the 3d printed plate, but 100% not with it.
back to square 1...
Go to the various dealers, that is pricing based on msrp. base models... just like the maverick was intended to be. 1500s are often several thousand dollars off with incentives.
Even if it is mid-size money, ridiculous to spend that on a mav. just my $.02, not meant to offend.
Anything price-wise above about $30,000 out the door on a XLT is asinine. The people spending $40+ are nuts, that is f150 / silverado / sierra / ram 1500 money.
The whole point of the maverick was to be an inexpensive, small, economical truck. The new lobo trim pricing just took its concept and...
Update:
I took the cluster over to my local tint/wrap shop here in San Diego called WolfWraps. Jimmy, the owner, is a fantastic dude. Our family has had work done with this business on vehicles for quite a while now. He was able to get PPF installed on the cluster, and at this point - this is...
like, clusters pulled from “junkyard” Collisions? Even these are listed on eBay for $250+.
For $40 in on a PPF install… I recommend everyone reading this go that route instead of having to potentially deal with this down the line. It just makes sense
my recommendation was to order using the part number in this thread from Bob Howard PDC. It’s about $35 shipped and it’s brand new :)
I already returned the one I purchased, unfortunately.
I didn’t really see anything that would prevent ford from offering a lens to XL/XLT people. The lariat lens comes with a plastic surround just like the XLT has, and it’s pre attached to that surround. The only differences to my eyes when I had the lariat lens in my hands was clip positioning and...
We ❤ breaking clips :)
If it wasn't for the clip type on the left and right sides at the front of the cluster... we wouldn't have issues like that.
Hopefully the dash panel holds properly when I put it back on after PPF.
I don't think these are expensive enough lenses for them to be coated in anti-glare.
The rest of the cluster, despite the etching in the before photos, was glossy as well. It's also worth mentioning that I don't see any difference between driving it now (corrected) rather than when I first...
Oh man, it etched your radio screen? Enter the LUWU Tempered Glass Screen protector.

You might be able to use PlastX on that first, the link for that is below this as well...
Yep. Overspray. I'm accepting the issue is my issue and not exactly a fault of the vehicle :)
It still etched the plastic. Most vehicles won't have this issue, but our cluster lenses are so soft they scratch with a brand new microfiber. Something to look out for. If you get it PPF'd...
I'm going to get the cluster PPF'd tomorrow to avoid further scratching or etching. This would be a good practice to do before you end up scratching or etching it accidentally. If I knew the plastic was so soft on these clusters, I would've done it right off the lot.
